We are looking for a seasoned sales professional to join our team and create the demand to fuel our growth.
These responsibilities will include overseeing a sales force of community mobilizers, and finding new ways to train and incentivize their performance.
Based on their specific skills, the consultant may take on additional responsibilities in sales and marketing such as identifying and securing new sources of clients.
This role will require spending substantial time in the communities in which we operate, recruiting customers personally as well as overseeing others.
The candidate we seek has experience designing and executing sales and marketing efforts.

He/she has negotiated high level partnerships, recruited and trained high performance teams, continually outperformed sales targets and developed and executed marketing campaigns.
He/she is able to perform high-level strategic work and enjoys working in the field and building success one customer at a time.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Establish and grow a team of high-performing sales representatives primarily consisting of community health workers
- Develop and implement training and evaluation procedures to onboard new salespeople and evaluate their skills on an ongoing basis
- Advise Jacaranda management on compensation strategies and promotions, and communicate these decisions to the sales team
- Create tools to support the sales team in their roles (e.g., marketing collateral, scripts, branded items)
- Establishing a culture that is continually testing new concepts for sales and marketing in a rapid way
Desired Qualifications
- Diploma or higher in a relevant field
- 5+ years of work experience in sales, marketing or business development, with a preference for experience managing a marketing team in healthcare sector such as a hospital or a health NGO
- Hands-on approach to getting things done
- Strong worth ethic and a sense of urgency in solving problems
- Can manage many tasks with a high level of independence
- Strong computer and office skills. Must be able to design and execute partnership agreements, presentations, proposals, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English and Swahili
- Fervent passion for improving the health and well-being of all mothers and children in East Africa
- Loves people. You must be outgoing, friendly and able to relate to people well, including expectant mothers
