Job Description:


We are filming a Documentary about rape, in the heart of the five big urban slums in Nairobi. 

We’re tracking a rape prevention intervention and its impact on rape in the slums.
 
Are you a confident self-starter who relishes the challenge of establishing something new, within a difficult and challenging environment?
 
Would you like considerable experience of working with very experienced European film makers,  managing GBV media projects, and creating a film that highlights interventions that can stop this terrible scourge.
 
Can you work under pressure with enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and a consideration for others around you?
 
Do you have outstanding interpersonal skills and are comfortable communicating effectively with people at all levels?
 
Do you want to make a GBV film , using state of the art cameras, softwares and hardware.
 
You need :
  • To have a relatively detailed understanding of and interest in Gender Based Violence issues is highly preferred.
  • Excellent camerawork and editing skills, (Final Cut Pro-Version 10 preferred)
  • To be very Creative and deliver to given timelines and deadlines
  • Technical experience with CANON 5D is desirable but not essential.
We are a slum based NGO, and are seeking a Kenyan based film maker to complete a short documentary and submit it to the leading film festivals in the world.
