Field Security Officers: Ref: HRD/FSO/09/12


Reporting to the Security Officer, the successful applicants will participate in the daily implementation of The Nairobi Hospital’s integrated security solutions.


Particular Responsibilities Include:

  • Supervising all assigned contracted security staff and generating proper documentation.
  • Safeguarding the security of patients, visitors, staff and property of the Hospital.
  • Attending all scheduled Monthly Proprietary & Outsourced security staff meetings as scheduled and providing pertinent feedback to assist with security operations.
  • Ensuring all required reporting and contract compliance requirements are met.
  • Enforcing safety, traffic, and parking regulations.
  • Providing proactive training to ensure that contracted security staffs adequately serve the protection needs of the Hospital, while complementing operational effectiveness and safety performance.
  • Ensuring that safety hazards, suspicious activities or incidents of intended breach of security within the Hospital premises are identified, reported, captured, investigated and recorded.
  • Building, improving and maintaining effective relationships with both clients and employees.
  • Handling any escalated security issues or emergency situations appropriately including reporting all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies. Respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats; and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion as required or called upon.
  • Conducting investigations and ensuring that proper evidence is acquired, preserved, corroborated and documented.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum O-Level C
  • Diploma in security management or any related field is an added advantage.
  • 2 years clean security supervisory or management experience in a reputable institution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate.
