Key
Responsibilities
The
successful candidate will be required to develop and oversee the program
livestock related activities for arid and semi arid communities to build their
resilience in sustaining their livelihoods.
H/she
will be required to organize for trainings both at the College and in the field
in all matters relating to livestock development.
Develop
training manuals and field reports for information sharing.
Key
Requirements and Experience
- A
graduate in livestock related field from a recognized University;
- 5
years experience working in Arid and semi arid regions;
- Experience
in participatory management and programme approaches;
- Have
excellent leadership skills, a team builder and player;
- Have
college and community teaching experience;
- Having
good experience of working in a structured organization;
- Have
a good knowledge on financial management ;
- Have
good analytical, writing and reporting and presentation skills;
- Reasonable
experience in proposal development and programme/project management;
- Have
strong writing and communication skills;
- Must
be computer literate, conversant with operating software applications; and
- Experience
with donor community will be an added advantage.
Natural Resources Management Officer
Key
Responsibilities
The
successful candidate will be required to identify and coordinate the NRM
activities with ASALs communities, oversee the implementation of all the
community projects / activities as planned in line with the college vision and
mission.
Document
the progress, lessons and challenges experienced within the project life as
well as identifying the future potential interventions in relation to
NRM.
In
addition, the staff will be expected to train the college students in area of
NRM as way of sharing the field experience.

graduate in Natural Resources Management from a recognized University
- 5
years work experience in the area of NARM activities
- Conversant
with relevant research-related statistics and soft ware analytical
applications;
- Ability
and experience in conducting field-based trainings will be added advantage
- Be
good in leadership, communications and documentation skills;
- Prepare
reports and disseminate NRM based research findings;
- Reasonable
experience in proposal development and programme/project management;
- Must
be well conversant with NRM based national and international policies
- Must
have good analytical, writing, reporting and presentation skills;
- Self-driving,
be a team player and highly motivated;
- Demonstrated
professional competence in field research relating to community
development or related areas.
- Experience
working in arid and semi arid regions will be an added advantage
