Expression of Interest: Development of Institutional Risk Management
Framework
KASNEB was established by the Government of Kenya on 24 July 1969. The Accountants Act, Cap. 531 of the Laws of Kenya, which was enacted in July 1977, gave KASNEB retroactive recognition since its inception in1969.

The
Accountants Act, Cap. 531 of the Laws of Kenya was repealed and replaced with
the Accountants Act, No. 15 of 2008 which took effect from 30 December
2008.
The
Accountants Act, No. 15 of 2008 is buttressed by the Certified Public
Secretaries of Kenya Act, Cap. 534, which reaffirms KASNEB as the examining
body for the Certified Public Secretaries (CPS) examination.
KASNEB administers five (5) professional and four (4) technician examinations which are held twice in a year; in May/June and November/December. The examinations are recognised worldwide and are benchmarked with international standards and best practice.
KASNEB
wishes to invite reputable and competent consultancy firms to express interest
in providing consultancy services to develop its Institutional Risk Management
Framework.
Interested
firms should provide information and documents indicating that they are qualified
to provide the required services.
The
information should include:
- The
legal status of the firm (Enclose copy of Certificate of
Incorporation/registration).
- Copy
of valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
- VAT
and PIN certificates.
- CVs
of key staff members indicating academic and professional qualifications
and membership to professional bodies.
- A
brief profile of the firm, indicating relevant experience with details of
similar assignments undertaken to demonstrate ability and capacity to
carry out this assignment (please provide references from at least five
reputable organisations where you have provided similar services).
This
is not a Request for Proposals.
The
Expressions of Interest will be reviewed and a shortlist of the most
appropriately qualified firms will be prepared and the firms will be invited to
submit their Technical and Financial Proposals through a Letter of Invitation
that will include the specific Terms of Reference.
Expressions
of Interest and accompanying documents should be submitted in plain sealed
envelopes clearly marked ‘Expression of Interest: Development of Institutional
Risk Management Framework’ and addressed to:

Expression of Interest must be deposited in the Tender Box at the reception of
KASNEB Towers on or before Monday, 29 October 2012 at 3.30 p.m.
