Information Systems Auditor
Description:
- Participate
in developing information systems audit programmes and executing them
accordingly
- Assess
the risks inherent in the group’s information systems and recommend
measures to mitigate against them
- Obtain
sufficient reliable ,relevant and useful evidence to assess how the
group’s information systems and business processes are controlled,
monitored and aligned with the group’s strategy and objectives
- Apply
professional auditing principles and standards to test and evaluate
complex ICT records and operational systems
- Evaluate
and advise management action and controls needed to manage risks
effectively and facilitate improvements where needed
- Conduct
interviews with staff and management as part of preparation for audit ,
audit testing and to present findings
- Provide
Information Systems (IS) audit support to other teams in the group
in identifying and mitigating the risks underlying the information systems
- Perform
research to identify and summarize applicable laws and best practices
guidelines
- Assist
in ICT and other fraud investigations
Qualifications
and Experience
- A
bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology from
a recognized university
- Professional
qualifications in Certified Information systems Auditor (CISA)
- Certified
information Security Manager (CISM) will be an added advantage
- At-least
two (2) years relevant experience in audit and risk assessment in a
reputable organization
- Working
Knowledge of windows environment, MS SQL and network infrastructure and
enterprise resources planning (ERP) tools
- Demonstrate
ability to prepare timely constructive and actionable audit and risk
assessment reports
- Detailed
knowledge of IS governance, information security principles and practices
Other
Competencies
- Outstanding
analytical skills with knowledge of use of computer Aided Audit tools
(CAATS)
- Demonstrate
in-depth understanding of the audit process, controls, and procedures
- Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of
health insurance and healthcare service delivery will be an added
advantage
