needs, the Supply Chain Function in the Equatorial African Regional Office has
a vacancy for a Demand and Supply Planner reporting functionally to the
Regional Demand and Supply Planning Manager and operationally to the Business
Executive Manager.
Demand And Supply Planner
REF: SC-DSP-OCT12
The job holder will be responsible in providing an integrated set of demand and supply planning processes which will satisfy the customer service requirements derived from final demand plans, while optimizing total logistics cost and resources of the company for import/export and domestic in assigned product categories. In addition, you will assist the Business Unit on all Supply Chain related areas.
Key Responsibilities will be to;
- Ensure
high quality demand and supply projection and reliability for short,
medium and long term;
- Ensure
effectiveness of Monthly Business Planning and review Consensus Demand
Plan for continuous monitoring and improvement;
- Manage
exceptional situations, such as exceptional stock allocation, production
priorities, production changes, promotion changes, aging stock, etc;
- Review
Demand & Supply Planning KPIs and take corrective actions for
improvement;
- Ensure
timely reporting for Zone Supply Chain Management and key meetings;
- Co-ordinate
with Zone Supply Chain Management in order to analyse the supply outlook
and provide information or suggestions for Zone AOA (Asian Oceanic Africa)
operational decisions;
- Ensure
finished goods stock at correct dispatch location , evaluate and review
stock cover policy;
- Review
Inter Market Supply (IMS) Partnership Agreement and Product Briefs to
exchange information and issues between producers and receivers;
- Make
sure on-time launch of new product projects especially for import and
export products;
- Ensure
strict implementation of Best Practices related to Demand and Supply
Planning / Inter Market Supply Planning (IMSP);
- Ensure
effectiveness of monthly MOR (Monthly Operation Review) and highlight
exceptions to take strategic decision.
The
ideal candidate should possess the following minimum skills and competencies;
- Master’s
in Business Administration or BSc. Engineering Degree holder from a
reputable university;
- A
minimum of 5 years working experience in Demand and Supply planning role
coupled with experience in Marketing and Sales or Production Planning;
- Strong
analytical and persuasive skills with good communication and presentation
skills;
- Strategic
and forward thinking with good problem-solving skills;
- Working
experience and knowledge on MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, especially Pivot
table;
- Experience
in SAP or other Advance Planning Systems;
- Ability
to impact and convince others at all levels within the organization.
