Main Responsibilities
- Meeting and liaising with customers and taking orders
- Liaising with the production and logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products
- Follow up on collections ensuring payments are made on time as per company policy
- Analyzing and sharing field reports
- Execution of marketing directives
- Generate ideas for new products, be involved in the product development stage and drive the introduction of new products in the market
- Meet all distributors in Kenya and understand their requirements and purchasing patterns
- Complete a market mapping exercise to understand the depth of distribution and identify gaps.
- Increase the number of distributors countrywide, as per findings from the gap analysis
- Create a mechanism to get reliable and timely competitor intelligence
- Ensure that all payments are collected within 30 days of invoice
Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Diploma in sales and marketing (Minimum).
- 10 years experience in field sales and distribution 5 of which MUST be in footwear industry.
- Vast knowledge and understanding of the East Africa market.
- Should be able to build an excellent rapport and relations with customers.
- Should have a keen understanding of distribution mechanisms.
- Must be competent in use of Microsoft office Suite.
- A self-motivated individual and an excellent team player able to influence others.
- Should be able to speak Swahili and English
- Should have a valid and clean driving license
NB: The footwear division is extremely busy and requires an aggressive hands on individual.
