Job Title: ICDL Facilitator

Reports to: ICT Training Coordinator

Summary of Role:
  • Deliver instructor led ICDL sessions, monitor student progress during training, provide support and advice to enable the student to become a competent user of the packages taught;
  • Develop or enhance the ICDL training documentation to support in-house and at client site training events; and
  • Service and support the computers used to train the practical ICDL courses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work with the ICT Training Coordinator, subject matter experts and other colleagues to assisting to develop and or enhance training documentation to support the delivery of the ICDL certification programme;
  • Keep up to date with self-paced technical training initiatives in order to competently deliver ICDL user courses on current Microsoft® Windows and Office suite of software;
  • Develop, implement and deliver interactive multimedia ICDL training programmes;
  • Maintain intermediate/advanced knowledge of technical aspects of e-learning;
  • Deliver bespoke training solutions to clients at their training sites;
  • Recognize improvements in current software products and incorporate the same to deliver training;
  • Act as subject area experts and participate in providing advice and support for new projects;
  • To work with subject matter experts to define content, create and deliver learning materials;
  • To provide help and support to colleagues and build close working relationships with all of the Institute’s managers and staff;
  • To provide help and support to staff attending ICDL and other institute courses;
Job Related Knowledge, Skills / Aptitude Essential Skills / Desirable Skills
The successful candidate should be able to:
  • Facilitate an adult audience to learn and use ICT user skills;
  • Organize, deliver and evaluate the ICDL syllabus based training programme;
  • Make high impact presentations conscious of audience needs and circumstances;
  • Write comprehensive, user friendly training documentation;
  • Design and deliver bespoke training;
  • Competently use Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook, Access; PowerPoint and Internet Explorer and have good knowledge of Publisher, Visio, Project and SharePoint;
  • Work closely within a team but also be able to work alone;
  • Demonstrate time management skills;
  • Excellent oral and written presentation and communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
Qualifications
ICDL Certificate will be an advantage
