PEPFAR Site Accountant Job in Kenya


The Live With Hope Centre is looking to recruit a PEPFAR Site Accountant.
The Live With Hope Centre is a Community Based Organisation (CBO) working in HIV/AIDS based in Kericho.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all accounting and finance issues relating to PEPFAR funds received.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the accounts payable process by supervising and guiding the finance officer to ensure timely receipt recording and payment of all bills and accounts using QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Produce timely budget vs actual reports for the Administration and Heads of Department to ensure appropriate and up to date budget tracking/forecasting.
  • Prepare and manage fund reporting statements on a quarterly or as needed basis for all PEPFAR funds received.
  • In liaison with the Administrator develop, maintain and update a manual of the organization’s accounting policies and procedures.
  • In liaison with the Program Coordinator provide assistance in annual work plan and budget development using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ensure and maintain strictest levels of confidentiality in accordance with LWHC human resource manual.
  • Perform periodic internal audits in preparation for external auditing
  • Perform any additional tasks relating the accounting/finance function of LWHC.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Degree – B.Com or other business/accounting related field and CPA section 6.
  • Proficiency and experience in QuickBooks accounting software.
  • Proficiency and experience in use of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluency in English language.
  • Recognized good moral character in the community.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in an accounting/finance role
