Savings and Credit Co-Operative Society is a fast growing society with its
headquarters in Awendo (Sony Sugar Company Ltd).
The
Sacco provides savings and affordable credit services with the objective of
achieving financial freedom to her members.
It
is against this background that the society wishes to recruit a Manager whose
mandate is as follows:
Cooperative Manager
Reporting to the CMC the manager should be able to plan and steer the cooperative towards the achievement of its strategic key objectives.
Key Result areas
- Provide technical support and advice on strategic direction to the society.
- Build the image of the society with a view to attract and retain more members.
- Manage efficient and profitable operations and ensure adequate returns on investment to shareholders.
- Developing new and innovative strategies to maximize members share value.
- Ensure protection and growth of the society assets.
- Process loans and other financial services to members in a transparent and accountable manner.
- Ensure Loans are processed, disbursed and recovered effectively in liaison with the payroll section.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other cooperative staff with a view to maximize on their productivity and potential.
Qualification
- Degree/Diploma in cooperative management or related business course.
- Accountancy knowledge preferably CPA II.
- At least 3years experience in senior position in the cooperative movement or financial institution.
- Good Knowledge of FOSA.
- Ability to work under pressure as well as demonstrate good management of conflicting priorities.
- Age limit between 30-40yrs.
