Sales Manager Job in a Wireless Telecommunication Company


a wireless telecommunication company specialized in an array of technologically advanced products & innovative services aiming at utilizing wireless telecommunication to enhance organizations’ competitive positioning & revenues.
These services include but are not limited to mobile marketing & advertising solutions, mobile applications, information delivery services, voice services, linking to social networks, & mCSR solutions.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for directing the sales of the company’s Value Added Service products to mobile operators in the Kenyan Market. S/He will also be providing professional account management pertaining to these products once launched, to the mobile operators.
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the CEO, you will; initiate & increase sales, open new markets, obtain, sustain and expand customers’ base and increase customers’ satisfaction in the Kenyan markets in order to achieve maximum profitability and growth in line with the company’s mission, vision and core values.
Key Responsibilities
  • Penetrate key accounts; namely target mobile operators, in the Kenyan markets to ensure the attainment of the company sales goals and profitability including preparing action plans for effective search of sales leads, prospects and new markets/businesses.
  • Manage relationships with the mobile operators’ marketing and technical teams through all phases of the sales cycle including responding to and following up on sales inquiries and resolving customer sales related complaints.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide timely reports to senior management regarding sales and account management activities.
  • Liaise with internal technical and content management teams.
  • Regularly update customers with the new services offers.
  • Work on having a positive year to year revenue growth per customer.
  • Ensure all invoices are submitted to the customer and payments are made in a timely manner.
Qualification and experience
  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing and sales or related field
  • Extensive product knowledge, established working relation with operators or in a value added operator service company.
  • 3-5 years experience specific to this position.
  • Demonstrable sales knowledge/experience.
  • Extensive experience in all aspects of Customer Relationship Management.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Excellent presentation and intercultural communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel and work with a global team.
  • Strong leadership and ability to drive sales activities.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment.
  • Demonstrative problem solving and decision making skills
