ICAP Regional Director (Nyanza) Job in Kisumu Kenya

ICAP of Columbia University is working in partnership with the Ministry of Health to strengthen HIV Care and Treatment services at county health facilities.

This program is part of a US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Title: Regional Director - Nyanza
 
Location: Kisumu

Overall Job Function:

The Regional Director is a key member of both Senior Management Team and Technical in- country team with overall responsibility for the planning and implementation of the HIV Care and Treatment program in the Nyanza region in Kenya providing leadership and overseeing all technical aspects and capacity building of administrative and health-related professionals within the program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and overall support of ICAP Nyanza program 
  • Oversee the planning, initiation and implementation of HIV Care and Treatment program including TB/HIV integration activities 
  • Provide technical support and supervision to ICAP supported GOK health facilities in the region 
  • Liaise with government partners, donors and other stakeholders in implementation of the program
Requirements:  
  • Bachelor degree in medicine preferably with Masters in Public Health or similar degree with clinical experience of HIV Medicine 
  • At least 5 years experience in HIV Program planning, technical assist and Project Management. 
  • Familiarity with GOK Health care programs 
  • Capacity to oversee development and implementation of work plan, monitoring and evaluation activities and reports 
  • Strong Supervisory interpersonal teamwork and management skills
