Job Title: Post Graduate Studies Coordinator

Job Purpose:

The Post-Graduate Studies Coordinator shall be responsible for effective communication and logistics between the University administration, especially the Academic Administration Division, Deans of the Schools, the Lecturers, and the Post-Graduate students.

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Coordinating all activities related to the University’s Post-Graduate programs - those currently being offered and those under development.
  • Blackboard management for timely and quality delivery of on-line courses.
  • To be the link person between the Academic Administration Division, Deans of the Schools, and Directors of the post-graduate programs.
  • Carrying out various administrative tasks of the programs in coordination with the Directors of the post-graduate programs and the DVC-AA’s Office.
  • Assist and consult with the Directors of the programs in organizing and maintaining their programs.
  • Consult with the Registrar’s Office in finalizing course offerings and timetables.
  • Help coordinate the development of new Post-Graduate programs in conjunction with the DVC-AA, Deans of the Schools, and directors of the programs.
  • Coordination of admission requirements, tuition rates, financial planning, and consistent standards in the development of all post-graduate programs.
  • Oversees all Post-Graduate public documents, such as, handbooks, manuals, program guides, etc., to ensure they are consistent with University policies and practices.
  • Facilitate effective and timely communication with respective offices and personnel within the University, especially the communication of timelines, general requirements, course provisions, etc., to post-graduate Lecturers, advisors, and students.
  • Other duties as assigned by the DVC-AA.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A Masters Degree in Arts, Social Sciences or Humanities.
  • Excellent ICT skills and competencies
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective Interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be a good team-worker
  • Understand and adhere to the PAC statement of Faith.
