Micro Finance Job in Nairobi Kenya

As we expand our operations throughout the country as a fully-fledged commercial bank, we are seeking to recruit energetic, innovative, dynamic, qualified and experienced individuals to fill the following positions:

Head of Micro Finance

Jamii Bora is the most established micro finance service institution in Kenya having been involved in micro finance for the last 12 years. 

The Bank has identified micro finance as a core business line and would like to become the biggest microfinance player in the region leveraging innovation and consumer insight to meet the needs of this market segment. 

The incumbent will be a key member of the management team and will report to the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Commercial Officer. 

He/she will be based in Nairobi.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute micro banking business strategy.
  • Manage the micro finance team to deliver the micro business strategy.
  • Review and revamp existing and introduce new micro finance products.
  • Develop alternative micro finance solutions to penetrate the micro segment with mortgage and insurance services.
  • Drive customer base growth.
  • Develop sales and marketing execution.
  • Develop micro finance product and procedure manuals.
  • Develop standard reports to track, sales, credit portfolio quality, and individual and team performance.
  • Identify and foster new strategic partnerships.
  • Develop financial literacy programs to enhance customer relationships and improve product penetration.
Job Qualifications / Skills / Experience
  • University degree in business related subjects. Possession of a Masters degree is an advantage.
  • Must be business orientated.
  • Must possess ICT Skills.
  • Must have Banking/Micro-Finance Skills.
  • Must have at least 5 years of management experience.
  • Additional skills in Sales and Marketing is an added advantage.
  • Must have demonstrated managerial and supervisory skills.
