APHIA PLUS Assessment in Western Kenya RFP


Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Rapid Participatory Market Assessment in Western Kenya
 
RFP Reference No: WVK/OT/29/FY12 

APHIA PLUS a Project funded by USAID is looking for a consultant to undertake a Rapid Participatory Market Assessment according to the TOR outlined in the Request for Proposals (RFP) documents.
 
Eligible Bidders should attach documentations and meet the following minimum requirements:-
 
1. Must have been involved in similar assignments in the last 5 years (Attach details of clients who may be contacted for more information)
 
2. Sound Financial standing to carry out the assignment.
 
3. Consultants must possess post graduate degree in Agricultural Economics, Agriculture, Economics, Social Sciences
 
4. Demonstrated capability in quantitative and qualitative research methods
 
5. Demonstrated capability to undertake market assessments aimed at developing market competitiveness of communities
 
6. Experience of having led similar or related local economic development assignments with special focus on pro-poor agricultural value chain development initiatives in rural Kenya.
 
7. Demonstrated experience in data collection, analysis and market strategy formulation
 
8. Analytical, methodical and precise report writing skills
 
Detailed Request for Proposals (RFP) documents detailing scope of work can be obtained from: The Cash Office, World Vision Kenya on Karen Road, off Ngong Road Nairobi (Between 9.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m., Monday to Friday during official working days).
 
Completed Proposal documents in plain sealed envelopes clearly showing the RFP Ref No. and Description should be addressed and delivered to:

or delivered to the Tender Box at the reception of World Vision Kenya Karen Complex on Karen Road so as to be received on or before Wednesday 11th July 2012 at 10.00 am. 

Tenders shall be opened publicly immediately thereafter in the presence of bidders who wish to witness the tender opening.
