Job Mission
To assist Senior and Executive Management with the implementation of proper financial management for the IT Shared Services (HUB) for South and East Africa Region (SEA)
KPA Duties
Financial Management (Reporting and Planning)
Prepare and present forecasts, budgets and business plans for the Shared Service Company on an annual basis
Develop, maintain and improve chargeback models and methodologies for costs recoverable from operating companies (OPCOs)
Manage billing and invoicing processes for recoverable charges from OPCOs
Manage accounts receivables i.e., transaction processing, age analysis, collections / receipts, non-recoverable accounts, reconciliations etc.
Manage accounts payable cycle i.e. procurement, operating costs, payments, transaction processing, reconciliations etc
Manage the payroll process i.e. payroll processing, payments, reconciliations etc
Manage the Hub assets, capital expenditure budgets, assets acquisitions, fixed assets registers, depreciations, impairments, disposal etc
Formulate and implement, in conjunction with Group Treasury, cash management, funding of the Hub, cash up streaming, banking processes, relationships etc.
Manage various taxes, direct and indirect, applicable to the Hub •Manage and maintain the general ledger of the Hub
Prepare and present monthly operational and financial performance reports for the Hub including but not limited to SLAs KPIs with the OPCOs, Income Statements, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows, Capital Expenditure etc
Load the Hub financial and non-financial information into Hyperion
Manage the accounting system for the Hub
Manage the internal and external audit processes
Prepare Annual Financial Statements, per IFRS, for the Hub
New and Adhoc Projects analysis and evaluations
Provide financial analysis and advise on all finance related matters Corporate Governance and Administration
Develop and manage operating policies, procedures and processes
Education Requirements
Chartered Accountant / Chartered Management Accountant
Article Minimum
5 years experience in Telecoms / Technology Environments
5 years experience in financial management
Experience with chargeback methodologies will be an added advantage
Commercial understanding of pricing, billing, etc. 2 to 3 years experience working with Oracle Financials, IFS Financials
Knowledge:
Thorough knowledge and understanding of risk, control and auditing methodologies
Thorough knowledge of financial management policies, strategies and methodologies
Sound general business knowledge as well as knowledge of core business processes
