Summary of Organization
Access Afya is a new social enterprise that will bring excellent healthcare to low-income communities in Kenya.
It will do this through a mini-clinic model, providing quick and convenient access to basic health services and information.
The clinics will specialize in primary and preventative care and be staffed by nurses and clinic aides.
They will be a first point of access into an existing health system, linked to surrounding facilities for referrals when necessary.
We are piloting the model this year and will use lessons learned and data generated from the pilot to inform an expansion plan.
