The Company is the leading supplier of children’s readers in Kenya and the Eastern Africa region.
It also publishes general books and textbooks.
It has firm linkages with several leading publishers in the rest of East Africa.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Board the C.E.O. will be responsible for continuously initiating, reviewing, coordinating, managing and implementing the strategies and operations of the Company to increase sales and profits and add value for the benefit of the stakeholders.
The Person
We are looking for a self-driven team leader of high integrity who is creative, a good communicator and motivator capable of achieving set goals.
He/She will have had a first degree ¡n Publishing, Education, Literature, Language or a Social Science - an M.B.A. will be an added advantage.
He/She will have had at least 5 years experience in a senior management position preferably in the Publishing or Education field and will be familiar with the educational environment and the book trade ¡n Eastern Africa.
Remuneration: This will be negotiated with the selected person.
