Introduction
Reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Manager, the ideal candidate should ensure optimal declaration and dispatch of KenGen plants by identifying improvements required in power systems
Minimum Requirements
The Job
The jobholder is responsible for provision of technical support and analysis in the formulation of power purchase agreements, identify bottlenecks in the Power System that affect KenGen’s plants and possible mitigation measures, analyze the dispatch process across KenGen plants and identify areas that require review to make the process optimal, create and maintain historical database on the KenGen’s dispatch process across all its plants and analyze and ensure that the plants are dispatched as per dispatch regulations in force.
The Person
Ideal candidate should be holder of Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of seven (7) years working experience in a senior position dealing with PPAs.
- Must be a Resident Engineer with ERB
- Masters degree in Business Administration will be an added advantage
- Good knowledge of electric energy regulations that are critical for this position
- Good Leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills
