CAFOD Emergency Manager & Senior Response Officer Jobs

CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for an Emergency Programme Manager and a Senior Emergency Response Officer for the East Africa Appeal.

Both these posts will be based in Nairobi, Kenya with significant travel within the region.

You will play a central role as part of the Humanitarian Department in a crucial moment, as CAFOD is increasing the support for the food crisis in Horn and East Africa.

Your main task will be to lead and manage our Emergency and Humanitarian programmes.

You will ensure the overall coordination and effective implementation of the proposed intervention of CAFOD funded activities undertaken by the implementing partners in line with the principles, policies and accountability requirements of CAFOD.

You will also have financial responsibility as well as team management skills while representing CAFOD with local partners.

You should be able to manage complex multi-sector programmes in a varied development/humanitarian context and demonstrate significant knowledge in developing and monitoring programme frameworks at a strategic level.

Due to the nature of the role, we expect you to have an analytical approach, being able to diagnose problems with depth and insight while concurrently displaying sound judgement and decision making.
