Alliance Technologies Marketing Communications and PR Manager Job in Kenya


Position: Marketing Communications and PR Manager (Female Applicants Only)

Anticipated start date: As Soon as Possible
Reporting To: Chief Commercial Officer
Responsibilities of the role:
  • Company Brand Management; Ensuring all the brand guidelines are followed in all communications, internal and external.
  • Taking the lead in the Company’s communications; internal and external with the highest professionalism.
  • Manage distribution of Company’s communications material.
  • Media relation: – Assist with media liaison to provide statements and arrange for interviews. Coordinate journalist queries and interviews
  • Monitoring of media and internet coverage of the Company.
  • Develop a Communications and PR strategy; Identify strategic PR opportunities both internally and externally for reviews and implementation in PR plan.
  • Crisis and Situations management in line with Company policy e.g. manage interface with PR agency including journalists on site in case of an incident.
  • Implement events aimed at generating Marketing &  Publicity
  • Implement a CSR plan
  • Develop promotional material such as Banners, Brochures etc.
  • Manage corporate branding.
  • Prepare press releases, media adverts, supplements, programme documentation, coordinate proactive and reactive media tours and organize press conferences, coordinate media interviews for staff, write position papers and act as organization contact person to the media
  • Gathering information, writing articles and editing newsletters, reports, journals and other publicity materials.
Academic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Diploma in Journalism will be added advantage
Technical Competencies and Experience Requirements:
  • Must be Strong in Marketing Communication.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in implementing communications/public relations activities or working with media.
  • Applicants must be fluent in English and Kiswahili, be able to write clearly and concisely in both languages.
  • Strong communication skills and an ability to work within a dynamic and collaborative team environment
  • Excellent organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing effective media and communication material that increase the visibility of an organization.
  • Computer literacy: Strong Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Publisher, Illustrator and In Design an advantage.
