Factory Workshop Supervisor
Summary
Our client, a subsidiary of a leading multinational is involved in large scale tea production with a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices and environmental care.
Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will have the overall responsibility for management of the mechanical workshop, productivity improvement & ensure high standards of machinery maintenance in the factory are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver the business targets aligned to the Company Strategy
- Prepare and implement Machinery Maintenance Schedule for the all factory machinery
- Maintain Machinery Inventory for the all factory machinery
- Ensure that all relevant legal & other requirements (mechanical) are complied with in the factory
- Support installation of new processes & machinery
- Take charge of machinery modification and support the implementation of TPM in the factory
- Responsible for the implementation of all company policies and procedures in the Workshop
- Troubleshoot and diagnose problems in the equipment
- Oversee repairs and maintenance of factory machinery.
- Analyse maintenance related data and generate KPI trends for use to embed productivity
- Ensure proper record keeping of all the equipment & monitor usage.
- Train & develop all staff in the Workshop and operators on machine operations
- Ensure that the Workshop’s expenditure controls are in place
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering,
- Minimum Five (5) years experience gained in an FMCG with an operational excellence environment
- Good administration and demonstrated people management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Good analytical skills.
- Practical Creativity and Team Leadership skills.
