Key Account Manager
Reporting to: National Sales Manager
We are seeking to recruit for our client a position based in Nairobi.
Key responsibilities
- Identify new business while continuing to develop greater levels of business with existing clients through consistent client relationship management and customer service.
- Motivating /managing and guiding the sales to achieve sales and margin targets.
- Effective marketing and brand positioning of the company
- Monitor sales and prepare sale reports for presentation and evaluation of the same with the directors.
- Setting annual targets, conducting team performance appraisal/competency assessment and development planning.
- Plan measure and manage the market share
- Gather competitor’s information so as to stay ahead of competition
- Ensure sales targets are set and achieved within a given time frame.

- Debtors management
- Cost Control
- Training and Development
- Team development
Education / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing, MBA would be an added advantage
- Professional sales/ marketing qualification e.g. CIM
- Computer applications training
- Self driven personality with demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.
Skills and experience required
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Past experience dealing with multiple products
- FMCG experience is highly desirable
