The County Council of Kakamega is seeking to recruit suitably qualified Kenya citizens to fill the following vacant posts:
1. Senior/ Inspector/ Security Officer
SS10
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning operations of the section
- To enforce various by-laws and other relevant duties as directed by the County Clerk
- To maintain self discipline as contained in the code of regulations.
- Directing answerable to the County Clerk in all matters of the section
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the County Clerk
The Ideal Candidate:
- Should have Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D+ (plus) and above
- Must have worked for a period of at least two years and confirmed Inspector I
- Must be aged 18-36 years
- Must produce a certificate of good conduct reading no criminal record
- Should be Physically fit
- Must have attended supervisory course from G.T.I or any other relevant training Institution.
2. Legal Clerk II

Duties and Responsibilities
- Co-coordinating legal processes by taking instructions from the County Clerk
- Drawing Legal documents
- Conducting correspondence pertaining to Legal matters of the Council
- Assisting in debt collection by enforcing laws
- Carrying out any other duties as may be assigned by the County Clerk
The Ideal Candidate should:
- Have a Diploma in Law (From a recognized Institution)
- Have at least two years working experience in a busy law firm
- Demonstrate Professional competence in work performance and results
- Be computer literate
- Be proactive, self motivated and aggressive
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to work in a team
3. Procurement Officer

Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparation of tender documents for procurement of goods, works and services
- Secretary to Council Tender Committee
- Maintain and archive document records for procurement and disposal activities
- Make procurement follow up
- Assist in preparation of procurement plans
The Ideal Candidate Must:
- Possess a diploma in Procurement / Supply Chain Management from a recognized institution of higher learning or a professional body
- Have 5 years of work experience in procurement
- Have Interpersonal & Communication skills, team player, good management & leadership skills
- Be computer literate and posses good analytic skills
- Be conversant with the provision of the Public Procurements Disposal Act and Regulations
- Be a person of unquestioned integrity
