Olkalou Dairy Plant Ltd. is a farmer owned company with diverse business portfolios ranging from milk collection, bulking, chilling and provision of other value enhancing services to dairy farmers within Ol’kalou town and its environs.
The plant is currently collecting, cooling and marketing over 25,000 litres of milk daily and serves over 5,000 smallholder dairy farmers within Nyandarua Central & West, Kipipiri, Gilgil and Mirangini districts.
The plant is seeking a highly innovative individual with strong business and entrepreneurial skills, passion and energy to fill the position of General Manager.
Reporting to the board of directors, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring sustainable growth of all business units and oversee all aspects of the business hub’s operations including; general management, planning finance, human resources management, managing external or public relations, manage marketing and customer services.
He/She should possess the following qualification and experience:
- Business management graduate or relevant degree
- 5 years proven experience in the dairy industry or equivalent service
- Senior management experience in operations, finance and marketing
- Management experience with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent analytical skills
- Experience with computer financial systems
- Relevant master’s degree will be an added advantage.
