Candidates are sought to fill the following positions based in Nairobi.
LPG Manager
The purpose of this role is to develop and implement competitive strategies for LPG business growth.
The key responsibilities:
- Develop strategic plans for growth of market share, manage the profitability of the LPG business and ensure asset and operational efficiency.
- Ensure successful implementation of competitive strategies for LPG business growth and sustainability. Implement LPG business plans and business performance against strategic objectives.
- Keep abreast with current market trends, monitor customer activities and gather market information, grow customer base, manage key customer accounts to achieve budget.
- Grow new business by indentifying gaps; improve profits through effectively optimizing opportunities and implementing best commercial practices.
- Maintain current business, grow market share in selected target sectors and achieve preferred supplier status.
- Identify new LPG applications and ensure effective rollouts by the business.
- Plan infrastructure development for increased supply to the market and monitor achievement of desired supply.
- The successful candidate will be in possession of Bachelors degree in related discipline with at least 5 years extensive experience in LPG business. The incumbent will have entrepreneurial responsibility to create an environment that supports new ideas and a track record of successful business accomplishments. Ideally the person will be customer focused and results driven, with high performance and team orientation. Business acumen, decision making, cross cultural communication and strong growth drive complete the profile for this position.
- Electrical Technician
- The purpose of this role will be to periodically inspect equipment, and carry out planned preventive maintenance in compliance with OSH Act 2007requirements and regulatory electrical standards.
The key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cost effective maintenance programme for all electrical installations, equipment and monitor maintenance against standards.
- Understand plant layouts and where critical electrical equipment and installations are situated. Carry out daily checks on equipment for unsafe conditions, arrange for repairs as necessary and update the relevant register.
- Test operation of equipment, trace all filling processes, repair where necessary and retest.
- Upgrade electrical installations as required with special attention to the protection of the various electrical equipments on site.
- Ensure maintenance of adequate stocks of all critical electrical spares.
- Abide by and follow emergency requirements. Install, maintain and repair industrial electrical and electronic equipment.
- Work with engineering staff to improve or design equipment, and fix malfunctioning equipment as required. Install new equipment or machinery.
- The successful candidate will be in possession of a Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering, 5 years hands on experience in plant maintenance in a manufacturing industry.
