Research & Development Officer
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will
be required to identify and coordinate the research agenda, oversee the
implementation of all the community projects / activities as planned by the
community development staff within the college mission.
Document the progress,
lessons and challenges experienced within the project life as well as
identifying the future potential interventions.
In addition, the staff will
be expected to train students in area of research and community development
Key Requirements and
Experience
- Degree in
Community Development or relevant discipline from recognized
University;
- 3 years’
work experience in the area of research and development;
- Conversant
with relevant research-related statistics and soft ware analytical
applications;
- Experience in
applied research methods will be essential;
- Ability and
experience in teaching course participants is important;
- Be good in
leadership, communications and documentation skills;
- Prepare
reports and disseminate research findings;
- Reasonable
experience in proposal development and programme/project management;
- Must have good
analytical, writing, reporting and presentation skills;
- Self-driving,
be a team player and highly motivated;
- Demonstrated
professional competence in field research relating to community
development or related areas.
