Position:  Registered Clinical Officers – (2)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be a Diploma Holder of Clinical Medicine and surgery from a recognized institution.
  • Must be conversant with National Policies and Guidelines in comprehensive HIV/AIDS Management.
  • Must be Computer literate
  • Training in Comprehensive HIV Care and Treatment is an added advantage
  • At least two (2) years working experience as a Clinical Officer in HIV/AIDs Care and Treatment setting is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be a team player willing to learn as well as train and mentor others.

Required Licenses, Certification or Registration: 

Must be registered with the Kenya Clinical Officers’ Council (KCOC)

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for carrying out clinical activities which includes Medical history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, prescription and counselling.
  • Clear and accurate documentation of all activities carried out.
  • Co-ordinate patient care with other departments in the hospital
  • Participate in decision making and apply principles of management in day to day activities
  • Observe good clinical practices while carrying out assigned duties
  • Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Health Poverty Action Call for Consultancy Job in Kenya


Call for Consultancy to provide training on Management, Finance and Organizational Development to partners for REalising maternal And Child Health rights in difficult environments (REACH) Project- Dollo Addo District, Ethiopia and Mandera County, Kenya

Health Poverty Action works with some of the poorest and most marginalised communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America, often in very difficult environments.  We work to enable these communities achieve improvements to their health, promoting this as one of their fundamental human rights.

In May 2011 HPA received an award of a grant contract with the European Union to implement a cross-border MCH project covering Mandera County in Kenya and Dolo Ado District in Ethiopia. 

 

The four-year project is entitled REalising maternal And Child Health rights in difficult environments (REACH) and will be implemented in close partnership with local NGO partners, most notably the Emergency Pastoralist Assistance Group (EPAG) in Kenya and the Pastoralist Concern (PC) in Ethiopia and the Ministry of Health on both sides of the border.

The overall objective of the project is: “Improved health outcomes for pastoralist mothers and children in Ethiopia and Kenya towards the achievement of MCH related Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)”

The aim of the proposed exercise will be to provide training and support to the local partners to increase their overall capacity to deliver MCH services to marginalized communities in line with donor requirements as well as enable the partners expand and sustain their operations and ensure that their knowledge and lessons from working in these pastoralist communities can be fed into national level advocacy.

1.    Maintenance / Operations Manager

  • A dynamic, energetic and pragmatic Maintenance / Operations Manager who will be responsible for the organization Operations in the Maintenance Division. 
  • The Maintenance / Operations manager will be reporting to the COO. 
  • The right candidate for this job should be a Graduate Engineer in Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication with at least 10 years’ experience. 
  • Should have good interpersonal skills, project management training. 
  • A leader who is able to motivate people, have sound knowledge in the telecommunication field and a clear knowledge of the mobile network, result oriented, and have proven experience from a reputable organization. 
  • Possession of a post graduate qualification in project management or MBA would be an added advantage.

2.    Telecom Engineer

A dynamic, energetic and result oriented Engineer. The Technician / Engineer will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Field Support Manager. The right candidate for this job should have knowledge in mobile network configuration, deployment and operations, and at least have Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience. Must be willing to work anywhere in the country.

3.     Power System Technicians

A dynamic, energetic and result oriented Electrical Technician who will be responsible for maintenance and support of generators, air conditioners, controls and other electrical equipment in mobile sites. 

  • The Power System Technician will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager and Field Support Manager. 
  • The right candidate for this job should at minimum have at least a Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Refrigeration Engineering with at least 3 years’ experience, have good inter personal skills, a team player and should be able to work with minimum supervision. 
  • Should have sound knowledge in maintenance of power infrastructure, be result oriented, must have proven experience from a reputable organization. 
  • Must be willing to work anywhere in the country.
  • Registration with Engineering Board and knowledge of mobile network design and implementation will be an added advantage.
