Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in the relevant with specialization in Criminology from a recognized university. 

They should have research experience, with at least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two chapters in scholarly books. They should show evidence of continuing research activity.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise at both undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake further research in their areas of specialization and also participate in Department’s activities.

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Public Health or equivalent and a Master’s Degree in Public health or equivalent from a recognized university. Holders of an MBCHB, BDS or related from a recognized university will have an added advantage. 

They must have research experience with at least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two (2) chapters in scholarly books since last promotion and show evidence of continuing research activity.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and undertake further research in the areas of specialization and also handle administrative duties as assigned by the Director, School of Public Health

Lecturer, Department of Paediatrics & Child Health

Applicants must be holders of an MBChB or equivalent and a Master’s Degree in Paediatric & Child Health or equivalent from a recognized university. 

They must have research experience with at least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two (2) chapters in scholarly books since last promotion and show evidence of continuing research activity. 

They should have specialist recognition as a Paeditrician from the Kenya Medical Practitioners & Dentists Board and a valid practicing license. Those with teaching /training experience in a Paediatric & Child Health related field will have an added advantage.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and undertake further research in the areas of specialization and also provide clinical services at teaching hospitals of the UoN.

Lecturer, Department of Food Science, Nutrition & Technology

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics/ Clinical Nutrition with a strong bias in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics. 

Applicants with a Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics/Nutrition with a strong bias in Clinical Nutrition and at least three years teaching/practical from a recognized institution and have registered for a PhD degree will also be considered . 

They must have research experience with at least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two (2) chapters in scholarly books since last promotion and show evidence of continuing research activity. 

They must be registered with the Kenya Nutritionists and Dieteticians Institute (KNDI). Preference will be given to those who are registered Dieteticians / Clinical Nutritionists and / or have worked in clinical settings.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students, develop courses and undertake further research in the areas of specialization.

Lecturer (Leather Science Programme), Department of Public Health, Pharmacology & Toxicology

The successful candidate will be expected to teach courses in Leather Science & Technology and supervise both undergraduate and postgraduate students, and undertake further research in the areas of specialization.
 
Lecturer, Department of Paediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics

They must have at least three (3) years’ teaching experience t university level. In addition they must have a minimum of two (2) Publications in Refereed Journals or two (2) Chapters in Scholarly books. 

They must be registered or registrable by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board. They should show evidence of continuing research activity.

Applicants must be holders of a PhD degree in Business Administration in any of the following areas: Entrepreneurship, Insurance, Marketing, Human Resource and Strategic Management from a recognized university.

Applicants who possess a Master’s degree in Business Administration or equivalent and have at least three (3) years teaching experience at University level and are registered for a PhD degree will also be considered. They should have research experience, with at least two (2) publications in refereed journals or two chapters in scholarly books.
 
They should show evidence of continuing research activity. Applicants should clearly indicate the area of specialization and campus for which they wish to be considered. This is mandatory.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach and supervise at both undergraduate and postgraduate students and undertake further research in their areas of specialization.

1. Applicants for academic posts (AC) should forward ten (10) copies of their application letters accompanied by similar number of certified copies of certificates and C.Vs giving details of their qualifications, experience, research activities and publications they appear in. Applicants for non-academic posts (AD) should submit seven (7) of the above supporting documents and applications letter.
