Job Title: Lead Solutions Architect – BFS

Supervised by: Business Head – BFS 

Our client is a Pan-African I.T. Company and a leading partner for major I.T. companies with a presence covering 25 African countries  

Salary scale: $ 5,000 - 6,000 a month
 

Location: Nairobi
 

The post demands ‘9’ to ‘11’ years of experience 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Architect, Design, Development & Implementation of framework and application software components
• The role requires them to be an operational/process expert with extreme knowledge of the business processes within the Bank/ Insurance firm and should have been part of that team from a functional standpoint
• Interact / partner with the business development and pre-sales team for understanding the requirements and suggest solutions for addressing the same
• Should be an individual contributor with proven past experience of being  hands on in architecting, designing and conceptualizing the solution components
• Be the go to person for the development team and should Mentor/Train the team members on designing, coding and facilitate the enhancement of technical and domain depth of the team
• Should be proactive and enhance existing software architecture by analyzing and identifying areas for improvement, optimization or refactoring
• Constantly Investigate new and emerging technologies and techniques, and research ongoing industry developments/trends in the space and make appropriate recommendations to the management for enhancements.
• Help build collaterals on various domain related areas – across banking & financial services
• Be the Lead respondent on proposals/RFP responses. Create innovative, scalable, sustainable & profitable solutions for RFP response. This involves working with cross-functional teams such as Pricing, IT/IT applications, Legal, Operational teams, etc

Skills Set Needed

• Thorough/adequate knowledge of BFS domain, regulations, processes
• Proven ability of Platform play and architect solutions around existing BFS processes
• Some exposure to the geographies of India/Middle East /Africa.
• Exposure to contemporary (domain) products and technology
• Analytical skills, Risk assessment, Systems/Ins Admin/Elixir
• Ability to handle pressure situations

Desirable

• A professional with experience in Banks working on processes/operations, working in BPOs managing operations/processes with reasonably good level of IT functionality.
• The role would require folks from processes /operations background.
• Bachelors in Engineering/ MCA/ MBA or equivalent.
• 10 years’ experience in BFS domain, preferably in solution / operations / processes
