AMPATH
is a program under the auspices of Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital and Moi
University in collaboration with Indiana University School of Medicine, all
uniting their resources towards tackling Kenya’s major health problems.
AMPATH
operates in mainly the North Rift, Western and Nyanza Provinces. AMPATH is the
umbrella of all sponsored projects within the Moi Teaching and Referral
Hospital and Moi University College of Health Sciences.
AMPATH
Plus is the grant given to AMPATH by the American people through USAID in
support of its activities in HIV care and other related activities.
The
purpose of the grant is to provide support for a 5-year Program jointly carried
out by Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Moi University and Indiana
University, which is sub grantee.
AMPATH is seeking to employ suitable persons for RSPO to further strengthen the ability of RSPO to handle all administrative and finance activities for AMPATH in the following section:-

Grants Management Department
Compliance Manager
Reporting to the grants manager,
- Ensure
that there are up to date and approved policies and procedures for the
general operation of the compliance program that are related activities to
ensure responsible conduct of projects funded through RSPO
- Maintain
day-to-day compliance control of the services within budget heads as per
the budget and PI approval.
- Be
up-to date with the changing federal guidelines of various funding
agencies and advice management, PI’s and other staff members through
appropriate forums.
- Develops
and periodically reviews and updates standards of conduct to ensure
continuing currency and relevance in providing guidance to management and
employees on grants requirements
- Collaborates
with other departments within RSPO to direct compliance issues to
appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
- Consults
with the Legal Offices of MU /MTRH as needed to resolve difficult legal
compliance issues.
- Assist
in investigation of alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies,
procedures, and Standards of Conduct and recommend to the AMPATH Executive
Committee an action plan for handling of such violations
- Monitors,
and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments
to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to
identify trends.
- Identifies
potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develops/implements
corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides
general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the
future.
- Provides
reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the AMPATH
Executive Committee and principal investigators informed of the operation
and progress of compliance efforts.
Qualifications:-
- Degree
or equivalent in the relevant field.
- Minimum
NGO experience for 3 years
- Master
level is an added advantage.
2. Compliance Officer - AMPATH Plus
Reporting to the compliance manager,
- Ensure
that transactions are in line with approved policies and procedures for
the AMPATH plus award
- Understand
USAID regulations and ensure project activities and in line with these
- Maintain
day-to-day compliance control of the services within AMPATH plus budget
heads.
- Be
up-to date with the changing federal guidelines and advice AMPATH plus
management
- Work
with compliance manager to conduct random compliance check on the AMPATH
plus award.
- Identifies
potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk in AMPATH plus and
work with team to develop/implements corrective action plans for
resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to
avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
- Provides
reports monthly to compliance manager on vulnerabilities within AMPATH
plus.
Qualifications:-
- Degree
or equivalent in the relevant field.
3. Compliance Officer - Other Grants
Reporting
to the compliance manager,
- Ensure
that transactions are in line with approved policies and procedures for
the other grants under RSPO
- Understand
various regulations specific to the different projects and ensure project
activities are in line with these
- Maintain
day-to-day compliance control of the services within the project budget
heads.
- Be
up-to date with the changing federal guidelines and RSPO section heads
- Work
with compliance manager to conduct random compliance check on the various
grants.
- Identifies
potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk in the different
projects and work with team to develop/implements corrective action plans
for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how
to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
Qualifications:-
- Degree
or equivalent the relevant field.
