Chai Trading Company Motor Vehicle Mechanic Job in Mombasa Kenya

Chai Trading Company Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary Company of Kenya Tea Development Agency Holdings Ltd (KTDA) located in Mombasa. 

We are in the business of Warehousing, Tea Trading, and Freight Forwarding to both local and international destinations. 

We are looking for a experienced professional to fill the following position:
 

Motor Vehicle Mechanic

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

Applicants must have the following minimum qualifications:-

• ‘O’ Level Certificate
• Diploma in Automotive Engineering From a recognized institution.
• A valid Driving License – Class BCE I (Artic)
• At least 4 years hands on experience in maintenance of articulated trucks in a busy workshop, specializing in Mercedes Benz Axor among other popular brands
• A certificate of Good Conduct

Reporting to the Assistant Manager - Shipping Operations, the successful candidates will be expected to discharge the following key responsibilities:-

• Ensure a  comprehensive planned preventive maintenance schedule of the entire fleet of the prime mover truck
• Diagnosing faults and ensuring timely repairs of the fleet
• Requisitioning for and verifying of quality spares ordered for repairs
• Writing Technical Reports on the trucks’ maintenance
• Coordination of the contracted service providers if need arises for timely provision of services
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Management from time to time 

The candidate must demonstrate keenness, diligence and ability to work long hours and under pressure with minimum supervision.
