Reporting to the Senior Manager - Fraud Investigations, the Senior Investigator will provide support to the Fraud Management team by undertaking fraud, forensic & other investigations including extracting, analyzing and interpreting data, gathering evidence, summarizing & reporting information gathered and other complex business information in a well understood manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for;
  • Ensure that all offences of fraud, theft and dishonesty against Safaricom are investigated & reported in a consistent manner;
  • Obtain information required to form an initial assessment of these offences and identify areas of loss;
  • Professionally and forensically gather evidence to be used to support these offences;
  • Prepare investigation reports with the objective of presenting evidence gathered in a professional and concise manner;
  • Perform regular reviews of exceptions reported in business information by analyzing, interpreting, summarizing and presenting for further investigations;
  • Assist in funds tracing, asset identification and asset recovery within fraud cases that have been proven;
  • Proactively gather relevant information that can lead to prevention or discovery of fraud.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and competencies:
  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Commerce/Criminology/Accounting/Law/Forensics;
  • 3 years working experience in an audit or fraud management departments in a Blue Chip company;
  • Proven work experience in forensic investigations or having undertaken extensive investigative assignments, in a blue chip company, is mandatory;
  • Certification in CPA (K), ACCA or CFE will be an added advantage;
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as testimonies, police reports, operating & maintenance instructions and legal regulations;
  • Experience in carrying out interviews and interrogations is mandatory;

Security Officer


Reporting to the Logistics Officer, her/his duties will include:
  • To provide efficient security and safety support to ACTED’s programmes in  Kenya and Somalia including the safety and security of all ACTED staff, eligible dependants, resources, assets, facilities, programmes, and projects while ensuring compliance with ACTED’s security policies and SOPs.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of the Country Safety & Security Plan, collecting contributions from the field teams, and submitting it to the Country Director’s review.
  • The operationalization of the Security & Safety Plan, in particular putting in place the necessary systems and equipment (Communication equipment, Vehicles, Stocks, etc.).
  • The implementation of security & safety measures decided by the Country Director.

  • Provide all staff with regular security briefings and updates and ensure that all staffs adhere to security policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and capacity building for staff members in order to increase the level of technical ability and skills in terms of safety and security. Ensure that staff members are proficient in the use of safety and security equipment, including communications equipment, vehicle emergency equipment and personal security safeguards required for work in the field.
  • The organisation of security & safety briefing to all newly recruited staff joining ACTED.
  • Responsible for security monitoring, liaison with national authorities, law enforcement, UN Agencies, and NGOs to ensure a smooth flow of security information.
  • Monitor all national/international staff movement and facilitate security clearances for areas where required.
  • Be a member of the Crisis Management Team and responsible for the practical organisation of any relocation or evacuation.
  • Provide advice on selection and procurement of appropriate equipment for security (vehicles, telecommunications equipment, etc.);
  • Provide advice on the security of transportation and logistics.
  • Responsible for complying with all the reporting requirements within the various sub departments to the country department team, HQ as well as donor requirements within the FLAT process.
  • Provide inputs to donor reports, as required.
  • Ensure proper filing/file maintenance of security related documents.
  • Act as the security focal point for the Nairobi Office; supervise the security guards performance in Nairobi; in cooperation with the Administration, maintain an updated staff lists, including details of visitors.
  • Establish and implement access control mechanisms (visitor/vehicle screening) as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other tasks within the logistics department, including the procurement of security equipment.
This position will require frequent travel to ACTED’s areas of intervention in Kenya and Somalia.

Qualifications/Skills Required
  • Bachelor degree in Arts, Social Sciences, Management, or a related security field. However, a diploma backed by strong relevant technical experience will also be considered.
  • Previous experience of working in a conflict/post-conflict or crisis environment with NGOs is an asset;
  • In-depth knowledge of security management and risk management;
  • Three years relevant experience, preferably in a security management environment.
  • Strong analytical as well as administrative skills
  • Computer literate.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective work relations at all levels,
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Ability to manage varied workloads, and deal constructively with stress and working long hours.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work with limited supervision, pro-active and a good team-player.
  • Being conversant in Somali language will be considered an advantage.

Qualifications

The qualifications and experience of the manager is as follows:-
  • A Bachelors degree in Criminology, Law, Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, Security Management or other related areas.
  • Post graduate training in Forensic Investigations, Fraud Investigations or Security Management.
  • Proven working experience in Security Management or criminal investigation.
  • A minimum of 12 years progressive experience in fraud investigation, law enforcement, government national or international agency with practical experience in forensic investigation at senior levels.
  • Minimum 8 years managerial experience, managing investigations, security and risk mitigation within a large organization preferably within a corporate organization and /or law enforcement.
  • Extensive criminal investigative background with emphasis on allegations of abuse of office, fraud, conflicts of interest in Kenya.
  • Knowledge and understanding in the field of fraud administrative investigations, IT and forensic techniques
  • Ability to conduct and supervise complex investigations with good analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Have the ability to independently develop and implement risk mitigation programs within the corporation.
  • Have a thorough understanding of prosecution processes.
  • Must be computer literate with strong end user skills.
  • Integrity must be above reproach.

WHO National Professional Officer (EPI Surveillance) Job in Dadaab Refugee Camps Kenya

Terms of Reference:

Under the supervision of the WHO Country Representative - Kenya and in liaison with WHO Country EPI Team Leader, the incumbent will provide technical assistance in the area of routine immunization and active disease surveillance in order to achieve Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) indicators for polio eradication, strengthening Integrated Disease Surveillance and Response (IDSR), strengthening Measles case-based surveillance, improving performance monitoring/coverage, activities to accomplish classification of all AFP cases. 


The incumbent will work in close collaboration with the Ministry of Health’s Division of Vaccines and Immunization (DVI) and Division of Disease Surveillance and Response (DDSR) Units, under the direction of and reports to the WR Kenya, NPO/EPI-Team Leader and works closely with the WHO EPI Surveillance Officer of the respective region.

S/he will provide technical support to VPD surveillance activities in all the refugee camps, as well as Dadaab and Jarajilla divisions of Dadaab and Fafi districts respectively in collaboration with the respective Refugee and District Disease Surveillance Teams and WHO EPI Surveillance Officer of the respective region.

Under the direct supervision of the National Professional Officer/EPI Team Leader, the incumbent performs the following duties:-

1. Support the District and Refugee teams in the assigned region(s) to
  • Sustain improved AFP surveillance indicators through, monthly mapping of poorly performing areas,
  • Provide technical support to poor performing areas,
  • Providing technical support during EPI and disease surveillance review meetings, coordination and Outbreak Control meetings meetings;
2. Train/re-train health teams and peripheral workers on disease surveillance and control and immunisation;
 
3. Support the area of assignment in the developing appropriate system for monitoring immunisation service targets, disease reporting system and disease outbreak investigation and response;
 
4. Monitor EPI coverage, drop-out rates, disease trends and completeness/timeliness of EPI reports and provide timely feedback to districts and Refugee Health Team leader;
 
5. Provide technical support in the development of annual immunisation and integrated disease surveillance plans of action and supervise all disease surveillance activities, including IDSR, in assigned area;
 
6. Monitor disease eradication/elimination/control indicators at assigned level and area and provide technical support in the implementation of AFP, measles and NNT case-based surveillance systems and provide feedback to respective districts/subcounty during review meetings;
 
7. Provide support in the planning, implementation and monitoring of Polio, Measles and TT SIAs in the assigned areas;
 
8. Perform any other duties as assigned regularly by the WHO Kenya Country Representative and/or NPO/EPI-Team Leader.
 
Qualification / Knowledge: 
  • First University degree in Medicine or other Health Sciences related profession. 
  • Post graduate qualifications in Public Health or Epidemiology.
Desirable: Training in immunisation and vaccine preventable surveillance

Experience:

Essential: At least 5 years of practical experience in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating disease prevention and control activities.
 
Desirable: Experience in working with immunization and surveillance programme is an added advantage.

Languages
  • Excellent knowledge of English and a working knowledge of Kiswahili.
  • Somali language is an added advantage.

Reporting to the Head of Legal, the holder will be responsible for:
  • Reviewing and vetting demand letters, statutory notices, pleadings, affidavits and other relevant litigation documents
  • Drafting and reviewing templates, standard forms, service level agreements, contracts, security documents and other relevant documents;
  • Providing guidance on the Bank’s Litigation matters;

2. Information Security Officer

Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing continuous independent assurance on the bank’s information security as regards confidentiality, integrity and availability of the IT infrastructure, processing systems and related resources in line with the Information Security Policy as well as assisting in ensuring that IT systems, infrastructure and processes are in compliance with the set standards and policies. 
The key result areas of this position will include:
  •  Develop and maintain the Bank’s Information Security Policy framework and Governance structure in line with best market practice and CBK Regulations.
  • Carry out Information Security reviews along the various phases of projects lifecycles as detailed in the bank’s Project Management framework.
  • Manage the implementation of IS into the day-to-day operations and culture of the Business.

2.  Head, Risk and Audit

Job Purpose
 
Reporting to the Risk and Audit Committee of the Board of Management functionally and to the Chief Executive Officer administratively, the successful candidate will be expected to take a leading role in providing innovative risk, audit, and assurance and consulting services that add value and continually improve the hospitals operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Internal Controls relating risks involved in the relevant business areas.
  • Formulation of audit management policies, procedures, regulations and auditing systems that respond to changing services, processes and operations and putting in required internal controls measures.
  • Develop efficient internal controls and risk management strategies in the hospital to address internal control deficiencies.
  • Monitor the implementation of action plans and recommendations.
  • Conduct risk based financial audits and systems(compliance) audits and recommend improvements
  • Issue periodic reports to the Chief Executive Officer and audit committee and facilitate preparation of routine audit reports.

3. Security and Safety Services Manager

Job Purpose
 
The Security and Safety Services Manager will be responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for the coordination and ensuring effective maintenance of security and safety of Hospital property, staff and patients.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for security systems throughout the Hospital
  • To identify, evaluate and prescribe adequate corrective measures for any security threats that the Hospital may encounter.
  • To undertake security audits to assess the Hospitals security position.
  • Formulating guidelines, procedures and measures for security control in the Hospital.
  • Ensuring security of buildings, plants, equipment, work environment and patients.
  • Ensuring that access to the Hospital grounds, administrative areas, hostels for students and medical doctors and the wards are properly secured.
