1. Manager, Planning and Strategy 

Job Level 4

1 Position

Duties and responsibilities:
 
Reporting to the Head of Planning and Strategy, the Manager, Planning and Strategy shall be responsible for:
  • Managing performance monitoring and evaluation tools.
  • Compiling the annual performance contract and preparing in-house as well as external reports on implementation.
  • Monitoring the implementation of the corporate strategic plan and preparing reports on implementation.
  • Reviewing and implementing the balanced score card performance management tool.
  • Monitoring the implementation of ISO 9001:2008 quality management system.
  • Preparing business analysis research reports and undertaking policy reviews.
  • Preparing business intelligence briefs and promoting business networks and collaborations with strategic business partners.
  • Managing the preparation and utilisation of planning and strategy budgets.
Qualifications and experience
 
The ideal candidate will possess the following academic and professional qualifications and experience:
  • A Bachelors degree in economics, strategic management or related discipline from a recognised university.
  • A Masters degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university.
  • A professional qualification in the area of planning and strategy from a recognised professional body will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of ISO quality management system processes.
  • Advanced computer skills.

2. Assistant Manager, Planning and Policy Analysis

Reporting to the Manager, Planning and Strategy, the Assistant Manager, Planning and Policy Analysis shall be responsible for analysing business intelligence information, surveys, research projects and monitoring policy development.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Analysing statistical information, business intelligence information, research findings of surveys and other data.
  • Monitoring policy developments and co-ordinating policy and research projects.
  • Providing support data to inform strategic planning and performance management and preparing research proposals.
  • Providing quantitative data analysis for use in decision making.
  • Assisting in data collection as may be required from time to time.
  • Assisting in monitoring the implementation of ISO 9001:2008 quality management system.
Qualifications and experience
 
The ideal candidate must possess the following academic and professional qualifications and experience:

3. Clerk of Works

Job Level 

1 Position

Ref: 
HRA/CLW/I/07-2013
 
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Clerk of Works will be responsible for:
  • Proper scoping of works and timely delivery of the project.
  • Ensuring that construction work is carried out in accordance with legislation, specification, contract documentation and industry best practice.
  • Ensuring that high standards of quality control are maintained through monitoring the construction, contract progress, procedures, workmanship, schedules and the overall job safety as well as effective coordination between the contractor and the consultants.
  • Acting as a liaison person between KASNEB and the Project team.
  • Liaising with the Project Engineer and/or Consultants on the general supervision and matters related to the project.
  • Monitoring the on-going works to ensure quality control (materials and workmanship) and effective use of resources.
  • Carrying out day to day supervision of the works under the authority of the Architect.
  • Ensuring that construction work schedules are maintained and compiling weekly site reports.
  • Keeping custodian of the site book and other project records.
  • Maintaining the day to day site diaries showing all records and making arrangements with the contractors for material tests at various stages of the construction progress.
The Clerk of Works will be expected to:
  • Be familiar with the projects’ information inclusive of drawings, estimates, bills of quantities, written instructions, as well as the principles of the designs, specifications, details and construction systems and using them as a reference when inspecting the work.
  • Comply with standards, specifications, time schedules and safety requirements.
  • Take measurements and samples on site to make sure that the work and the materials meet the specifications and quality standards.
  • Ensure that the works are within the legal requirements.
Qualifications and experience
 
The ideal candidate must possess the following academic and professional qualifications and experience:
  • A Higher National Diploma (HND) ¡n Building Construction Management or related discipline from a recognized Institution.
  • A degree will be an added advantage.
  • Relevant experience of at least 5 years in the reputable construction site preferably in the construction of a multi-storey development.
  • Must be familiar with Health and Safety rules and regulations.
  • Membership to a relevant Institute will be an added advantage.

Sanergy Accounts Receivable Clerk Job in Kenya

Job Description: Accounts Receivable Clerk

It is our goal to provide affordable, accessible and hygienic sanitation services to individuals, thereby making a valuable contribution to their communities. 

Under the Fresh Life brand, we have launched over 200 toilets in Nairobi and plan to continue to expand our network. 

Role & Responsibilities    

The Accounts Receivable Clerk (ARC) will be responsible for coordinating the customer receivables and cash receipts of the Finance Department at our Mukuru office.  


The ARC will provide assistance to the Finance department to secure revenues including Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Cash Receipts Processing, and Credit Risk and Creditworthiness analysis. 

 This work will support Sales and Operations, Installations and Maintenance activities ensuring compliance with policies and procedures of the Finance department for Sanergy and Fresh Life. 

Responsibilities include posting day-to-day cash receipt transactions for the cash received from customers for toilet installations, renewals, maintenance and product sales, tracking and collecting customer receivables and reconciliation of accounts receivable and accounting systems ensuring proper authorization, documentation and filing of all documents.  

Key duties and responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Clerk shall be to:
  • Post customer payments by recording cash, cheques, and credit transactions
  • Post revenues by creating, verifying and entering invoice transactions
  • Update receivables by running unpaid invoice and receivables aging reports
  • Maintain accounting records related to revenue and receivables via sales invoices, sales orders and journal entries
  • Reconcile account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, Sales and Operations, Warehouse and Maintenance departments, and from customers
  • Set up and send payment reminders and delinquency notices to customers via automated SMS system
  • Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
  • Summarize receivables by creating and analyzing monthly receivables aging reports and ensuring overall credit portfolio health
  • Investigate and resolve collection issues by examining and following up on customer payment plans, payment history and coordinating collection with field officers, area managers and the sales and operations department
Other duties include
  • Verifying customer accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions
  • Maintaining ledgers by verifying and posting accounts receivable transactions
  • Maintaining reports for filing VAT returns by calculating VAT on issued invoices
  • Proactively look for operational efficiencies and policy and procedural enhancements to improve internal controls
  • Work closely with the Sales and Operations Department, Accountant and Finance Manager to ensure smooth operation of all finance and accounting matters in Mukuru office
  • Help develop and maintain the file system and procedure manuals related to customer credit, payment reporting and tracking
  • Maintain customer relationships and strong collections
Requirements
  • At least 1 year experience working within a finance, accounts or collections department or at a Microfinance institution.
  • Good understanding of receivables, credit and accounting framework processes and procedures
  • Minimum of CPA  Part 1 or ACCA Part 1 or other accounting designation
  • High Proficiency in computer software including Office (Excel and Word) and Google (Gmail, Google Docs etc)
  • Experience working with professional accounting, MIS or enterprise resource planning software
  • Familiarity with M-Pesa B2C or Kopo Kopo interfaces a definite plus
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize competing deliverables
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and customer service orientation
  • Proactive, team player with demonstrated resourcefulness and problem solving capabilities

AMPATH is a program under the auspices of Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital and Moi University in collaboration with Indiana University School of Medicine, all uniting their resources towards tackling Kenya’s major health problems. 

AMPATH operates in mainly the North Rift, Western and Nyanza Provinces. AMPATH is the umbrella of all sponsored projects within the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital and Moi University College of Health Sciences.
 
AMPATH Plus is the grant given to AMPATH by the American people through USAID in support of its activities in HIV care and other related activities. 

The purpose of the grant is to provide support for a 5-year Program jointly carried out by Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Moi University and Indiana University, which is sub grantee.

AMPATH is seeking to employ suitable persons for RSPO to further strengthen the ability of RSPO to handle all administrative and finance activities for AMPATH in the following section:-

Human Resources Department
 
1. Human Resource Officer

2 Positions (1 AMPATH Plus and 1 Other grants)
 
He/She is answerable to Human Resource Manager
 
Responsible for and ensures that the HR activities are implemented to meet Labor laws of Kenya requirements and USAID regulations as well as other funding agents requirements.
 
Activities include but not limited to:
  • Ensure implementation of HR policies
  • Participate in recruitment, promotions, induction, employee relations activities
  • Facilitate training(CMEs etc)
  • Participate in disciplinary matters
  • Working with PIs in advertising, short listing, interviews, placement and induction
  • Any other task given to him
Requirements:
  • Be in possession of a degree in social sciences, economics or business administration from a recognized university.
  • Have experience in Human resource management for at least 3 years at the level of section head
  • Be able to work extra hours including week ends

Requirements
  • Be in possession of Diploma in Business management, Business Administration and Human Resource from a recognized institution.
  • Have at least 3 years work experience in a busy HR office environment and be able to keep confidential matters.
  • Knowledge of Memory soft payroll software is an added advantage
  • Must be computer literate in excel
3. Registry Officer
  • Answerable to Human Resource Manager
  • Ensure all confidential documents under him are secure.
  • Activities include but not limited to:
  1. Management and organization of registry
  2. Ensuring good, clean and secure storage of documents
  3. Ensure compliance in archiving, and retrieval
Requirements
  • Be in possession of Certificate/Diploma in Records and Information management from a recognized institution
  • Have at least 3 years work experience at the level of section head in a busy environment. Be able to keep confidential matters.
  • Must have worked in the registry undertaking all the above.
