Resource Efficiency (REF) Consultant
 

Johannesburg (Nairobi, Dakar)
 

The Consultant shall assess opportunities to save energy, fuel, water and other resources with high impact on climate and sustainability. 


The Consultant shall visit the premises of the designated companies, collect data and visual observations, compare to available relevant benchmarks on resource consumption and report on the suggestions on projects that can be implemented to make the company more resource-efficient.


Requirements:

  • Master’s or equivalent professional degree in engineering;
  • At least 7 years of relevant work experience in the field of industrial resource efficiency (as an employee of an engineering company, part of technical management team of a production company, independent consultant or a project developer).
  • Track record in preparing of complex REF technical projects for implementation and/or financing, assessment of technical and economic aspects.
  • Excellent knowledge of the best available cross-sector REF technologies and service providers;
  • Proven ability analyze and structure data and produce comprehensive reports;
  • Relevant experience working in the Sub Saharan Africa region is desirable;
  • Fluency in English required; working knowledge of French is a strong plus.
