We are looking to recruit a Quality Manager to join our Consumer Healthcare Division 

Reporting into the Regional Quality Head, the job holder will be expected to take the lead in implementing and sustaining the Quality Management System (QMS), including encouraging the commercial team to own quality activities in their day to day work.

The job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Building strong relationships across the Commercial Business functions and working with them to develop quality objectives that meet both business and regional quality objectives.
  • Undertaking relevant training forums to deliver quality management systems knowledge to relevant parts of the business enabling them to identify, incorporate and deliver on relevant quality objectives.
  • Maintaining a high level of quality management systems knowledge and awareness of changes within the commercial environment to seek opportunities and manage potential business adversity.
  • Developing a network to obtain local regulatory intelligence and provide the necessary analysis to understand and escalate issues which have the potential to impact supply or GlaxoSmithKline’s reputation.
  • Acting as the quality contact for the regional quality organization, providing communication to the regional quality organization on progress of quality management system compliance status updates on quality plans and escalation of issues.
  • Ensuring a robust, sustainable and effective quality management system through monitoring and reviewing the compliance status within the third party marketing companies.
  • Implementing and maintaining effective quality assurance systems to ensure that local operations are in full compliance with GlaxoSmithKline’s standards and policies.
  • Ensuring that all internal procedures and systems in use are compliant to the GlaxoSmithKline quality management system, guide for commercial companies and local regulatory requirements
Requirements
 
The prospective candidate will have a minimum of an undergraduate science degree and five years working experience within a pharmaceutical /consumer healthcare industry. 

The candidate will have a strong understanding of and experience in quality assurance systems particularly in the areas of batch release, product incidents, artwork control and performing audits.

They will have a strong knowledge of regulatory requirements pertaining to good manufacturing practice/good distribution practice and  knowledge on effective quality documentation systems.

2. Finance and Administration Officer
 
The position holder will primarily manage the financial resources and effectively manage all administration and operations.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain the accounting plan.
  • Create, apply and control financial procedures and forms, ensuring that each transaction and payment has the necessary approval and justification.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly the cash flow projection for the period of time for which funding is available.
  • Provide daily, weekly and monthly financial reports.
  • Prepare and maintain up to date the accounting system, ensuring that all transactions are duly recorded.
  • Prepare payrolls for the organization every month.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Establish SOPs for production and preparatory processes to get right first time quality from each process. Develop MIS for quality measurement and recording quality.
  • Provide quality guideline to all QA & Factory Assigned QC.
  • Liaise and facilitate problem solving and decision making in any technical related issues in garment production.
  • Establish and deliver functional excellence through providing high level support and expertise in manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor production closely and provide technical support when needed to ensure quality meets specifications.
  • Develop clear understanding on brand requirements and close partnership with the factories. Coach factories and liaise their understanding of the brand to elevate product & service standards.
  • Proactively foreseen and resolve any potential production issues, balance cost effective production approach and brand’s requirements.
  • Timely follow-up, monitor process and progress of product approval to hit deadlines.
Skills and Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in inspection of fabrics and garments.
  • Must have inspection experience for end-markets which include US and Europe
  • Must be very familiar with international standards of fabric inspection and sensitive when comparing original standards or requirements against strike off, lab dip, handlooms, hand feel and bulk production
  • Equipped with good product technical knoweldge
  • Understanding and capable to manage quality auditing procedures
  • If there are problems with the fabric, QC is to be effective in negotiating with the garment factory and come up with solutions /alternatives to solve problems
  • Effective communication skills including speaking, writing and presenting in English as well as excellent analytical skills.

1. Quality Assurance System Supervisor
 
Job Purpose Statement: The position holder shall be responsible for Quality and food safety systems establishment, implementation and maintenance within the organization, including training, verification, auditing, updating and follow up of preventive and corrective actions in the site as well as giving support and advice to the company on Food Safety and Quality Management system and regulatory requirements.
 
Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager and dotted line report to Factory Manager.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Establish, implement, maintain and update the quality and food safety systems in line with Mars Quality Management Process (QMP) and ISO 22000:2005/FSSC 22000 standard requirements throughout the organization.
  • Maintain systems that ensure conformance of finished product to statutory, local regulatory requirements and Mars product specifications as well as identifying improvements to the existing Quality and food safety system by updating the system accordingly.
  • Appointed Food safety team leader managing the food safety and internal audit teams by organizing their work according to Mars QMP and ISO 22000 standard listed roles as well as coordination of external audit activities.
  • Ensure relevant training and education of the food safety team members, internal audit team and all associates on relevant Quality Management Process procedures, work closely with commercial function to ensure factory conformance to Material Quality Management systems and Supplier Quality Assurance.
  • Ensure that Good Hygiene/Manufacturing Practice (GMP/GHP) is implemented at the site and extended to visitors and contractors. The scope of implementation should be monitored and reported using appropriate data analysis techniques and that improvement opportunities are developed and implemented.
  • Ensure that all infrastructural improvements and new installations (machines, plants and infrastructure) undergo Good Hygiene Practices and Food safety clearance before use for production.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Technology from a recognized University.
  • Solid knowledge and at least 5 years’ experience in food safety management systems (ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000, GMP and Food safety pre-requisite programs).
  • Trained Lead Auditor in ISO 22000:2005 or/and FSSC 22000:2010 standards with a strong understanding of Regulatory compliance.
  • Strong understanding of Corrective and preventive action including Root cause analysis techniques.

2. Quality Assurance System Specialist
 
Job Purpose Statement: The position holder shall be responsible for supporting specific Quality and food safety systems programs including Facility Document and record control, Material quality management at receiving, pest control and systems verification within the Factory as well as implementation, training, verification, auditing and follow up of preventive and corrective actions in the site.
 
Reporting to: Quality Assurance Manager and dotted line report to Quality Assurance System Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the facility’s Supplier Quality management program by ensuring all material into the facility meets facility receiving requirements, is tested and released for production in line with Mars Quality Management System while ensuring that deviations are reported, documented and approved as necessary according to the Change Tracking System.
  • Monitor shelf life of ingredients and packaging materials and take necessary action to ensure material released to production meets corporate and regulatory specifications as well as ensuring all routine and non-routine testing of ingredients, environmental monitoring and water according to corporate and regulatory requirements including skip lot sampling and testing.
  • Training of associates, contractors and visitors on applicable procedures and work instructions according to training program and as need arises.
  • Preparation of shipment samples, documentation, booking in the relevant sample submission records and maintaining communication with external testing parties till results are received by the factory.
  • Ensure the implementation of the document and records control system according to corporate and regulatory requirements in the company and ensure that appropriate documents and records are maintained and updated as necessary, available at point of use and that corrective actions on the same are implemented in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a database of all packaging artwork and ensure that all new artwork meets specifications and undergoes approval according to artwork approval procedure.
  • Responsible for control of potentially nonconforming ingredient and packaging material by labelling, segregating, blocking in SAP, communication to internal customers, escalation, including processing approval record for material destruction.
  • Management of the pest control program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in Food Science and Technology from a recognized Institution.
  • Solid knowledge and at least 2 years’ experience in food safety management systems (ISO22000, HACCP and GMP).
  • Trained Internal Auditor in ISO 22000 or/and ISO 9001 standards with a strong understanding of Regulatory compliance
  • Good understanding Corrective and preventive action (CAPA) and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Effective communication skills including speaking, writing and presenting as well as excellent analytical skills.

Job Summary

Develop, Monitor and co-ordinate all Safety, Health and Environmental policies, procedures & activities so as to ensure compliance with all relevant legal, Quality Management System and COMPANY requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Continuously develop, implement and review safety, health and environment Standards & procedures in conjunction with the Workshop Manager, in line with the Occupational Safety & Health Act 2007 and other Statutory requirements
  • Identify health, safety and environmental hazards, investigate root causes and identify corrective and preventative action, and report to the management
  • Conduct reviews on service station performance, compliance with set standards and documenting the same
  • Provide training instructions and workshops to all employees and subcontractors on safety, health and environment, with emphasis on continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate training records for the same
  • Conducting inspections and audits including monitoring and tracking of all SHE related issues and Quality Management issues

Qualifications

  • Experience in ISO implementation
  • Experience in Bulk Logistics of fuel, Jet A1 and Dry cargo is a MUST
  • Experience in Dangerous Goods Handling is also a MUST
  • DOSH and NEMA Certification will be an added advantage

Quality Assurance and Food Safety Manager

Summary:

In charge of key quality operating team at the company and will report to the Director. 
The position will be responsible and accountable for developing Quality Assurance Programs, Provide day to day support to the operations team in management of product quality and ensuring Food Safety across the product portfolio manufactured.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure full compliance of all products with all government food safety regulations, and maintain highest level of food safety.
  • Ensure that all facilities are in compliance with all GMP, HACCP.
  • Interact effectively with KEBS and other regulatory bodies, food safety auditors, and customers to maintain positive & responsive relationships and assure rapid corrective actions through dynamic leadership and timely documentation.

The person will be in charge of the overall function of the company transport system. The position will be tasked with developing and implementing effective transport systems within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling of dispatch vehicles route plans ensuring shortest turn round time in liaison with the dispatch department.
  • Supervising all drivers, training them and conducting appraisal as required by the management.
