Job Summary: This job includes investigating and diagnosing network problems, collecting IT usage stats, making recommendations for improving the company's IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions. 

The position holder will help employees with some of their more basic computer needs, like setting up new users and managing back-up, security and passwords

Roles and Responsibilities
 
Specific duties include but are not limited to:-
  • Server administration: Installation, Designing, Implementing and administering server roles: AD, DHCP, DNS, GPO, IIS, file sharing, rights and permissions on MS Servers, 2008R2 and 2012
  • IS Security; ensuring viruses do not become an operation’s bottleneck, Configuring Web Proxy and firewall, ensuring latest updates and upgrades are installed on all machines. Comprehensive Backup and restore strategies
  • Web Development using html, php/MySql and Content management system
  • Developing and implementing various training and instruction programs for users on the use of operating systems, networking, applications, and databases.
  • Administration of software requiring integration with the server e.g. Microsoft Nav, SERENIC, Office 365 and ensuring compliance with current site licenses, designs, as well as managing  IT related projects such as organizational website and partner’s websites as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing hardware, software and user problems as they arise.
  • Evaluation of  existing computer systems, hardware and performance, system upgrades, based on end user requirements, installing, integrating, customizing, configuration, and testing new system and hardware.
  • Flexibility to adapt to and willingness to learn or teach new technologies; and be on call whenever needed to give support to staff.
  • Enter all  new data which is sorted and verified into the designated database
  • Update the designated database with new program data received from the field offices/partners
Skills and Qualifications
  • University Degree in IT related field e.g. Computer Science and Information Systems or any other related field with at least 3 years relevant working experience in a busy NGO environment will be an added advantage.
  • Professional/additional Qualifications: Applicants with Professional Certificates such as MCITP, CCNA, Linux +/LPI and MSSQL and MYSQL database applications are highly desirable.
  • UNIX Administration knowledge, knowledge of Microsoft  IIS and Apache is preferred, knowledge of Microsoft windows  2008R2/2012 server. 
  • Experience in network administration, advances knowledge of database management  (MSSQL, MYSQL etc)

: Data clerk to organize and enter data for PRIME-Kenya. Looking for someone who can learn quickly, is thorough, organized, professional, and flexible. 

Needs to be a thoughtful problem solver with good communication skills and attention to detail. This individual will be working with the M&E team and the IT manager.
Required skills: General computer skills and word processing. Able to enter data. Expert in Excel and familiar with Access databases.

Recommended: Experience in database management and uploading documents/data onto web based platforms.

Obligations: Available to work up to 20 hours a week at Kenyatta National Hospital depending on program needs.

Probationary period will require that applicants demonstrate data entry skills before they will be given the position.

Pay will be set between 200 KSH to 300 KSH an hour depending on prior experience.

It runs support groups for PLWHA and Key Populations, and is working with the Ministry of Health to scale up male circumcision for HIV prevention. NRHS wishes to recruit a clinician with research experience to be in charge of its research program and to provide technical assistance with program activities.  

Job Title  :  Clinical Officer

Job Description:
 
Purpose: Responsible for care and follow up for participants enrolled in research studies and non-research clients.

Purpose
: The Lab Technician will be based at UNIM Clinic Laboratory in Kisumu to receive, verify and analyze specimens, record results on appropriate forms and report results promptly to the clinical staff. 
 
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the laboratory equipment and specimens for tests.
  • Assist in collecting and performing quantitative and qualitative laboratory analysis of blood, serum, urine and other biological specimens from study patients.
  • Laboratory assay tests will include, but not be limited to: light microscopy, culture, antibody testing, specimen staining.
  • Keep proper and clear documents of tests performed and results as per protocol.
  • Record test results in research study databases.
  • In partnership with the procurement and stores, manage the consumables and equipment inventory and place timely orders for re-stocking of necessary items.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To support the set-up of all the databases required by ACTED teams, developing the related tools (database structures, surveyor informatics forms and data entry screens, workflow for database population and update)
  • To provide data cleaning and data quality assurance
  • To manage the databases and develop queries, specific export files and report
  • To deal with routine problems arising in the course of data handling.

Required Profile

Role Purpose: Assist the Monitoring and Evaluation Manager in ensuring that all pump end –users’ information is captured at the point of sale and the data is entered into the designated guarantee forms ERP database.

Works with: IME and Sales Team

Key Areas of Accountability:
  • Ensure that all guarantee forms from the field are collected, delivered to the office, and data is entered and summarized in time,
  • Ascertain that data collected using the above tools is consistently correct and ensure all guarantee forms have genuine and unique pump serial numbers through an instant auto-detect ERP system,
  • Enter all data collected through the above tools in the designated database with regular cleaning to ensure data uniformity,
  • Prepare and submit monthly pump sales breakdown per Sales Rep, for computation of the monthly commissions,
  • Produce ad hoc reports from the Guarantee Forms database that may be required from time to time by various stakeholders,
  • Perform very clear analysis of household survey data, ensuring timely data entry and cleaning.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
  • A Certificate in any Agricultural related field, diploma is an added advantage
  • One year experience in data entry gained in a research oriented or relevant organization
  • Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
  • Self-motivated and team player,
  • Good communication skills – written and verbal
  • Ability to plan and priorities work
  • Proven ability to handle challenging work load

Background:

Atlantean seeks to identify local and expatriate junior‐ and senior‐ level qualified Statistician/Data Analyst candidates to support USAID/Kenya’s Office of Population and Health (OPH) and USAID/East Africa’s Regional Health and HIV/AIDS Office (RHH). 
In support of this program various candidates are sought with qualifications and experience in the following areas; management of field monitoring, evaluation design, empirical and statistical analysis, management of information systems, information management design and training and program management.

Competitive Statistician/Data Analyst candidates must have strong math and analytical skills and significant experience and success in areas such as empirical research and statistical analysis. 
uccessful applicants will perform data analysis in support of USAID/Kenya’s Office of Population and Health (OPH) and USAID/East Africa’s Regional Health and HIV/AIDS Office (RHH). 
They will interact closely with program management and monitoring and evaluation staff, and will produce detailed, well‐written and well‐presented reports, including written analysis of the key findings. 
This position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya with possible travel throughout East and Central Africa. 
The Statistician/Data Analyst will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties and deliverables:

Responsibilities and Deliverables:
  • Evaluating and applying various methods for statistical analysis to program data.
  • Applying standard statistical methods such as measures of dispersion, central tendency, reliability, index numbers, moving averages and correlations in determining significant factors present in such data.
  • Preparing charts, tables and graphs from aggregated data.
  • Preparing reports and analyses of statistical tables, charts and graphs.
  • Assisting in developing equations for analyzing specific types of data.
  • Any other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Senior level applicants must have a Master’s Degree in a relevant field (such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics or related field) and at least 10 years of related experience.
  • Junior level applicants must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics or related field) and at least 4 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of the significance of various statistical measures, theory, techniques and methods.
  • Strong command of qualitative and quantitative research design and data analysis techniques including use of packages such as Atlas (or Nudist or NVivo) and SPSS (or Epi‐Info, SNAP, SAS), as appropriate.
  • Expertize in database structuring and data management
  • Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word and MS Excel.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the impediments to health within the African context.
