Position: Employee Relations HR Manager – Manufacturing Industry

Contribute to the Human
Resources Strategy by developing a progressive employee relations
strategy to ensure cordial industrial and employee relations in line
with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities will include:-
- Managing employee relations by ensuring fair and quick settlement of grievances and disputes
- Work force Planning
- Serve as a consultant to front-line supervisors at assigned factories in managing employee performance and conduct issues
- Assist front-line supervisors with investigations, employee coaching/development, and administering formal progressive discipline as warranted
- Leading in the interpretation and application of the labour laws and Company regulations
- Providing appropriate advice and guidelines on all disciplinary matters
- Liaising with appropriate regulatory and statutory bodies to ensure compliance and appropriate reporting
- Ensuring continued improvement of the health of the organization by monitoring productivity indicators such as performance, sickness and absenteeism, grievances, work-life balance initiatives, and developing programs to ensure positive trends.
- Leading the preparation of CBA Proposals and Co-ordination of the CBA negotiations and meetings
- Managing and monitoring recruitment and selection for Unionisable employees
- Managing and monitoring the administration of medical, occupational health and Staff welfare programs
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience
- Bachelors’ Degree plus a post graduate qualification in Human Resources Management/ Degree in Human Resources Management
- The successful candidate will ideally possess a generalist HR background with sound knowledge and exposure in labour legislation and procedures
- Manpower planning and development
- Sound knowledge of performance management
- Self-driven and result oriented individual
- A team player with excellent communication, problem solving, analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- At least 5 years working experience in a comparable role in a commercial environment
