  • Managing staff working in catering and in hostel
  • Supervising laundry work
  • Supervising cleaning of accommodation facilities
  • Working through with students to maintain high level standards in personal hygiene and organization
Key qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in hotel management
  • Experience of three years and above in busy establishment
  • Experience of working in schools is an advantage
  • Must have passion to work with children
  • Must be a practicing Christian with a testimony

Art/Design and English Teacher

Qualifications

Key Areas of Responsibilities
 
A description of the key responsibilities incumbent in this key post is provided below;
  • To develop curriculum for a range of quality short-term / long-term hospitality training programs, and other commercial courses to generate income for the institute.
  • Project manage identified training contracts and activities to ensure all agreed outputs / outcomes are delivered within time and to budget, that reporting requirements are met, that suitable trainers have been deployed.
  • Work with Institute’s Principal, Dean of Studies and identified external partners to develop new demand driven short-term courses in hospitality.
  • Lead on developing and delivering industrial attachment partnerships including marketing, employer engagement, learning mechanisms, provision of quality assessment requirements, contract management to ensure the successful completion of learners and undertake evaluation.
  • Sell and market the institutions courses to universities and corporate clients
  • Lead and manage the sales team to deliver the sales turnover as per the strategic plan
  • Relationship management including regular liaison, provision of information, updating the website, development of an e-newsletter etc.
  • Liaising with the Marketing Manager on branding design, production and approval
  • Develop robust evaluation methodology and review techniques to monitor academic programs/products, quantify success and identify areas for improvement
Professional & Academic Qualification
  • A Degree in a business related field from a recognized institution
  • A master’s degree in marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a curriculum development environment and at least 2 years of sales in the education industry

Ufunguo ICT Training Scholarship Opportunities

The Ufunguo Scholarships: Launched in August 2002, the Ufunguo Scholarship programme is a major education initiative to raise the level of computer literacy amongst young Kenyans from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.  

The programme aims to benefit 1% of school leavers by providing access to quality ICT training courses managed by its delivery partner, the Institute of Advanced Technology (IAT).

The Ufunguo Scholarship covers the following Programmes:
  1. International Computer Driving License (ICDL) - An international qualification which enables one to demonstrate their competence in use of computer applications
  2. User Support Professional- Equips one with technical knowledge in computer maintenance, it covers both Hardware and software aspects
  3. Network Support Specialist (N+) – Equips one with skills in handling computer networking.
  4. Computer programming - Aims at providing students with an entry point for a career in programming using Visual Basic (VB) and Java Languages.

Shining Hope for Communities Upper Primary Literacy & Social Studies Teacher Job in Nairobi, Kenya

Duties of this job include, but are not limited to:
  • Teaches upper primary literacy and social studies using KSG’s curriculum.
  • Works with elementary school teachers to further develop and improve their literacy and social studies knowledge and lessons.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least three years of experience teaching middle-school literacy.
