Real Estate Administrative Assistant Job in Kenya

Real Estate Administrative Assistant 
Salary K’sh 15,000 – K’sh 20,000
 
Our client is seeking to hire a Building Care Taker. 
The primary purpose of this job is to ensure that the building and surrounding areas are maintained well and working well.

Job Description
  • Clean light fittings and test lighting systems weekly replacing where necessary minor parts such as tube lights, bulbs, fuses, starters, in accordance with safe working practices
  • Arrange to clear blockages; remove foreign matter from sinks, toilets, drains, kitchen grease traps etc. and clean up spillages as required
  • Ensure that drains are kept clean, free from debris and that the college and grounds are litter free
  • Dispose of waste materials in a safe, hygienic manner ensuring that it is available for collection as required
  • Maintain appropriate records including intruder alarm logbook, repair orders, and heating system records book, carry out meter readings for the college.
  • Report emergencies in the case of faults with electric and water supply, or a lack of water to the building agent/owner
  • Request for technical services or regular contractors to solve the problem
  • Report minor faults on site to the building agent/owner
  • Attend to, where necessary, personnel visiting the site such as contractors
  • Carry out basic building maintenance and some grounds maintenance
  • Clean the internal face of external windows and other internal glass within the limitations of safe working practice
  • Clean the public toilette and kitchenettes with the assistance of the tenants each day
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job
  • Help clients with minor repairs and handy work
  • Together with the security guard ensure that the premises booth inside and outside are secure
  • Report to the building managers/owners for repairs that need to be taken immediately or things that need to be provided
Required qualifications
  • KCSE or O Levels
  • At least 1 year of working experience in a similar position
  • Understanding of electrical and water
  • Be able to identify problems and repair of ask for assistance

Research Care and Training Program Transport Officer Job in Kisumu, Kenya


Program Description:  
The Research Care and Training Program (RCTP), is a collaboration between Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and University of Washington (UW). 
RCTP leads the Family AIDS Care and Education Services (FACES) program, a comprehensive HIV prevention, and care and treatment program. 
Due to its continued growth, the program is seeking motivated, pro-active individual to fill the following vacancy:

Transport Officer (1 position)

Reports to: The Provincial Finance and Administration Officer
Location: Kisumu
Opening Date: 28-05-2013.

Position Purpose

In charge of Transport Management in the FACES Program, and will be required to device and implement new Transport management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advice the Management on the evolving transportation requirements in all the areas that the program operates in
  • Initiate and implement fleet management strategies.
  • Management of vehicle, Motor cycle and Motor Boats inventory and related accessories.
  • Ensure Vehicles, Motor Boats and Motor cycles are maintained and kept in good working conditions and are clean. Liaise with outsourced Mechanical service providers
  • Supervision of Coxswains, drivers and Motor Cycle riders. Ensure that all Coxswains, drivers and Riders are compliant to the traffic Act, and other relevant legal requirements
  • Maintain, analyze and report on Boats, Vehicle and Motor cycle running costs on a Monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance to the road Traffic, and water ways legal requirements. Make sure that all Boats, Vehicles and Motor cycles are insured at all times, and that all vehicles have road licenses.
  • Liaise with other study coordinators within RCTP.
  • Submission of monthly Boats, Vehicle and Motor Cycle returns to KEMRI
  • Ensure that Boats, Vehicles and Motor Cycles are clean.
Education and Qualifications
  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
  • Candidates with experience in fleet management will have an advantage
  • At least Two years experience as a Transport Officer.
  • Valid Driving License class BCE
Skills and Specifications
  • Sound knowledge about vehicles.
  • Ability to provide quick solutions to problems.
  • Good management skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good Interpersonal relations.
  • Capable of working for long hours and sometimes at odd situations.
  • Working Knowledge of Ms Office package.
