Hass Tanzania Finance Manager Job Vacancy

Vacancy: Finance Manager – Hass Tanzania Ltd
 
The Company: Hass Petroleum Group is a regional oil marketing company with a significant presence in East Africa and the Great Lakes region. 

We have fully fledged operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo, dealing with importation and distribution of white oils (Diesel, Petrol & Kerosene), Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and our own brand of lubricants blended to world class standards.
In Tanzania, we own and operate a terminal facility in Dar es Salaam with a capacity of 25 million litres. The terminal offers hospitality to a number of OMCs in Tanzania and forms part of our revenue streams in the region. 

The Job: We seek to recruit a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to lead the Finance team in our Tanzania operations. 


He/she will be expected to
  • Drive the business performance by identifying and analyzing key performance drivers;
  • Prepare financial statements and reports;
  • Oversee the automation of fixed assets register and maintenance of the same;
  • Actively participate in Budgeting and planning process with a view of identifying saving opportunities;
  • Negotiate with the banks for reasonable exchange rates;
  • Coordinate internal and external audits for the business unit
  • Provide robust financial analysis & support for sales and marketing;
  • Develop and embed rigorous risk and opportunity analysis and  link the same  to Sales & Operations processes;
  • Provide financial advice to support the commercial teams and functions;
  • Manage quality of financial timelines, budgets, and milestones;
  • Assess  and advise on financial implications of new or existing ventures;
  • Monitor the financial position in relation to goals and objectives and provide reports and advice to the Management Committee;
  • Approve payments as per the approved Chart of authority.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business related field and full CPA/ACCA professional qualifications.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ working experience in Finance, Audit or Accounts preferably in a multi-national Company.
  • Must have held a supervisory role for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Must have a strategic mindset and good negation skills
  • Must be a person of high integrity and a high fiscal discipline
  • He/she must be proficient in Oracle ERP and MS Office suite

Country Director, Tanzania

The Country Director will manage and monitor TMEA’s Tanzania programme. 

This includes strategy, planning, and delivery of expected results in regional trade, infrastructure development, modern customs systems, and institutional development of government institutions. 

The Country Director will develop an effective programme in line with TMEA’s strategic plan, sound management information and monitoring systems, and strong working relationships with Tanzanian partners including government agencies, the private sector, civil society and other East African counterparts.

The Country Director will identify opportunities for additional investments into TMEA’s Tanzania Programme, co-ordinating with other key partners. S/he will source technical experts to assist in the implementation of TMEA projects and external communications.

Tanzania is a demanding environment requiring high personal drive, political sensitivity, initiative and leadership. 

The ideal candidate will possess an undergraduate degree preferably in Economics, Development Studies, International Trade, Planning, Finance or Management. 

In addition, s/he must have at least five years’ management experience in establishing and leading economic development programmes, preferably in trade facilitation, private sector development, infrastructure development, or institutional capacity building. 

The successful candidate will be a strong leader, with proven inter-personal skills in managing multi-stakeholder relationships. 

The post also requires strong programme cycle and procurement management skills, with proven ability in preparing project documents, and monitoring and evaluation systems. 

Candidates should preferably possess senior experience in Tanzania, or within East Africa. Language skills in Kiswahili are desirable for this position.

TradeMark East Africa (TMEA) Manager, Ports Projects Job in Tanzania

Headquartered in Nairobi with branches in Arusha, Bujumbura, Dar es Salaam, Juba, Kampala and Kigali, TMEA seeks to support East African integration through:
  • A reduction in transport and related costs along the key corridors in East Africa;
  • Supporting EAC institutions to develop a comprehensive framework for regional integration;
  • Supporting partner states to substantially increase the implementation of a comprehensive framework for regional integration; and
  • Engaging private sector and civil society to positively influence regional integration policies and practices for growth in trade.
To ensure that TMEA delivers on these strategic objectives, we seek a high calibre, results-oriented and self driven East African professional to join our team in the post of Manager, Ports Projects / Dar es Salaam.
The Manager, Ports Projects/Dar es Salaam will support the Regional Infrastructure Adviser and Strategic Ports Adviser in managing TMEA’s work programme with the Tanzania Port Authority (TPA). 

This will include developing and maintaining work plans and budgets and delivering TMEA’s programme of support at the Port of Dar es Salaam in liaison with TPA and other key stakeholders, including Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA), Tanzania Surface and Marine Regulatory Authority (SUMATRA), Tanzania National Roads Agency (TANROADS), shippers and labour groups among others. 

S/he will work with port authorities and TMEA procurement to engage consultants and will be responsible for managing the consultants and reviewing their outputs. 

In addition, the job holder will be expected to assist in negotiations with private developers/operators for port facilities.
 
We are looking for an individual who possesses high personal drive, political sensitivity, initiative and leadership. 

The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Economics, Maritime Studies, International Trade, Planning, Finance, Engineering or a related field. 

A relevant Masters degree or other professional qualification will be an added advantage. 

In addition, s/he must have at least five years’ experience in maritime transport, transport logistics, engineering or a related field. 

Significant experience with one or more major seaports and a deep working understanding of ports and shipping processes and procedures are essential for this role. 

Language skills in Kiswahili are mandatory for this position.
 
This will be a fixed-term contract ending on 31 December 2014, with the possibility of extension for a further two years. 

The post will be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania with occasional travel within East Africa.
