The Export Promotion Council is a State Corporation whose Mission is to develop and promote export of Kenya’s goods and services, and harmonize export related activities.

EPC/ PRO/RFP/ 003/2013-2014: Consultancy Services for a Research on Export Market Development Activities in the Republic of Nigeria
 
The Republic of Nigeria is one of the fastest growing economies in the African region.
 
The EPC seeks to engage the services of a competent consultant to undertake a comprehensive niche market study with a view to enabling Kenyan exporters and economic operators increase their engagements in the Nigerian market.
 
EXPO 2015 Milano (Milan, Italy)
 
Kenya is a member of the International Bureau of Expositions (BIE), the body mandated to organize world Expos. 

The Expos are unique events in which participating countries, international organizations, corporations, civil society and millions of individuals come together to interact, based on a given theme statement. 

Countries use this opportunity to showcase their trade, cultural and tourism potential. Kenya has confirmed participation at the Expo 2015 Milano, which will be held from 1st May to 31st October, 201 5. 

The Expo will be driven by the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life:’

The Karura Forest Environmental Education Trust seeks expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced registered firms forming a Consortium, to participate in an Architectural Competition. 

The Consortium should comprise of Architects, Engineers, Landscape Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Environmental Management Experts. 

The purpose of this EOI is to select the best qualified candidates to participate in the design competition for the proposed education centre at Karura Forest. 

Accordingly, we are not soliciting specific proposals for activities at this stage. interested qualified Consortia are invited to apply for pre qualification, indicating the Consortia’s respective areas of competency, qualifications and experience by submission of the information in accordance to the terms of Reference to be availed to interested firms and to be picked up at the address below.

Creative Designer

CAP Youth Empowerment Institute Kenya, supported by MasterCard Foundation, is established to provide Basic Employability Skills Training (BEST) for disadvantaged youth with particular focus on women to get equitable, qualitative learning and access to promising labour market oriented opportunities, savings and credit that support their pathways to safe and positive futures.

About the position

We are looking for a young person with potential and passion to work as our creative designer. 
He/She must be creative, intelligent and able to come up with great ideas. 
Successful candidate will be based at CAP offices in Westland’s with occasional travel to the field to collect information. 
He/she will be tasked to develop content for website, develop and design newsletters, develop articles prepare presentations.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Fostering creation of local fact sheets.
  • Gathers and verifies factual information regarding story through interview, observation, and research.
  • Use the written word to express story lines and ideas.
  • Interviewing various stake holders and getting their feedback and using that to prepare articles.
  • Conduct extensive research on various topics.
  • Write outlines and rough drafts for various articles.
  • Create content using various multimedia formats that can be read, listened to, or viewed onscreen.
  • Develop original content for short stories and case studies.
  • Edit content for correct spelling and grammar.

  • Responsible for the social media strategy in the company

Purpose and Scope
 

Our client is in need of an Interior Design with Project Management experience who will coordinate and oversee the project Life Cycle of the group companies projects from inception through Completion. 


They will coordinate the work of the project and design teams, under the direction of a senior staff member for confirmation of issues related to the success of the total project to include; Communication, Timeframe Management, Budget Management and Expectation Management.
 

Key Roles Include:

  • Manage Project Resource allocation
  • Track and Report on Project deliverables/milestones and provide project tracking reports
  • Understand the program analysis as well as create a program analysis deliverables document.
  • Delegate and oversee sections of a project with other design team members to meet deadlines. Generate and maintain project team task list.
  • Maintain accurate project records of accountable time, billable percentages, project status, 70% GP profitability or higher and scheduling timeline.
  • Handle Project accounting Coordination
  • Monitor project creep, and work towards minimization and management of delays
  • Effectively manage Project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved
  • Re-prioritize or Safely crash unsuccessful projects
  • Resolve any issues and solve problems throughout project Life cycle

Candidates Profile
 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a Project Management role in a related field
  • Relevant tertiary level training in the Interior Design, Engineering or Building & Construction fields but strong emphasis on Interior Design.
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools and/or Software packages

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills & competencies:

  • Six (6) years of experience in information systems and analysis in a busy service provider environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with: LANS/WANS; Cloud Environments; Disaster Recovery; Security Systems; Server-Client architectures; Backup systems; Enterprise Applications
  • Experience in OSS/BSS software, architecture or implementation on vendors like Cisco, NSN, Huawei, Ericsson
  • Good appreciation of telecom Value Added Services applications/products based on 3GPP and non-3GPP
  • Experience in Rating, Billing and Collection (BSS related functions) an added advantage
  • Possess understanding and knowledge of eTOM/ITLv3 framework and other industry standards/models
  • Proven ability to manage and lead groups of people, not directly reporting to the individual
  • Strong analytical, excellent presentation and planning skills; proficiency in MS Office required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Computer Science
