Primary Responsibilities:

They are seeking a minimum two year commitment from an exceptional early career photo and video professional to lead multimedia strategy and development for our international automotive brand – a truly unique opportunity to create impact on a global scale. 


The role will require a working relationship with the venture’s CEO, Marketing Associate, Organization Associate and the Design, Sales and Operations teams. 

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
 
Photography
  • Conceptualise photographs that effectively convey the client’s story, social impact and select aspects of our operations – including the team, customer, build process and product.
  • Capture photographs of the client’s product, team, operations, environment and customer experience coordinating all associated logistics to ensure a smooth stakeholder process.
  • Shortlist and edit photographs to world-class standards and ensure consistent alignment with the high-quality client’s brand.
  • Organise all photographic content in a clear and systematic structure, ensuring easy and timely access to content across the organisation.
Videography
  • Conceptualise and storyboard video projects and films that effectively and compellingly convey the client’s story, social impact and select aspects of our operations.
  • Capture high-quality video and audio footage as part of agreed video projects and direct stakeholders to deliver associated content sequences against storyboard.
  • Edit video footage to world-class standards and pair with appropriate audio content, ensuring consistent alignment with the high-quality client’s brand.
  • Conduct and film professional interviews with members of the client’s team, our customers, specific suppliers and other select industry partners.
  • Organise all video content in a clear and systematic structure, ensuring easy and timely access to content across the organisation.
Social Media
  • Document stories from customers and end-users of our vehicles through written word, photography, graphic design, music and videography.
  • Develop and lead our social media strategy, including defining content schedules and managing media partners.
  • Create professional, compelling and thought-provoking content for social media through channels such as Twitter, Facebook, SMS and the client’s Motors blog.
  • Maintain our overarching social media presence, ensuring continual feed of appropriate information and timely engagement with our followers.
  • Support Marketing Associate to design still image advertisements for publication in local and global magazines, websites and outdoor media.
  • Support Marketing Associate to develop professional video deliverables for product advertisements on national television and online.
  • Support Marketing Associate in the design and development of appealing automotive brochures and fliers that effectively communicate the values of the client’s brand.
  • Support Organisation Associate to create content for communications with funders and other external stakeholders on a periodic and ad-hoc basis.
Skills and Certification:
  • An ideal candidate should combine outstanding artistic and design skills with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team. 
  • They should possess a strong skill set in setting a creative vision and producing world-class photographs, videos and marketing literature
Required:
  • Bachelors degree from a top university worldwide
  • 2+ years experience in photojournalism, media, creative design, photography or film
  • Strong and diverse photo/video portfolio (preferably award winning)
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability of project timeline and results
  • Ability to effectively communicate timelines and project progress with both internal and external management teams
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic working environment and work within a diverse team
  • Excellent problem solving ability in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Extreme patience and a good sense of humour
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work effectively and build rapport with others
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, Light room and Illustrator

  • Comfort with spending 10-25% of time travelling within East Africa, possibly on short notice, and into rural areas (camping when necessary)
Desired:
  • 4+ years related experience in photojournalism, media, creative design, photography or film
  • Fluency in Kiswahili (the national language of Kenya)

Role:
  • Assisting the Senior Legal Counsel in performance of his/her duties
  • Follow up on arrests and compliance notices or demands issued against company for requirements under various acts, including but not limited to, the Physical Planning Act, Public Health Act, Education Act, and local ordinances and by laws
  • Understand the laws, rights and regulatory compliance requirements so as to protect Bridge from inappropriate government or private actions
  • Manage company’s private investigation proceedings on various legal issues
  • Support criminal investigation proceedings and maintain active liaison with local police, security agencies and prosecutors to ensure the proper and expeditious conclusion of investigations, dismissal of frivolous claims, the laying of charges and the prosecution of criminal matters, and where applicable, the return of company property
  • Handle all aspects criminal, civil, regulatory and other litigation proceedings to seek redress for company
  • Liaise with company staff on required documentation, witnesses etc. with respect to matters in court
  • Maintain and update the record of all open and closed legal cases and provide regular updates to Senior Legal Counsel and Management
  • Maintain and update the hearing dates calendar for all matters
  • Communicate and coordinate strategy and legal action with outside counsel
  • Follow up on court filings and obtain copies of proceedings
  • Draft pleadings, filings, opinions, update reports and correspondence
  • Attend court hearings and local authority meetings, coordinate witness attendance, and prepare and provide evidence to outside counsel and prosecutors
  • Assist with research on laws, rules, regulations and legal precedents
  • Help maintain archive and current paper and electronic document management
  • Complete various legal tasks, special projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
  • LLB or JD from a recognized University
  • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with a valid practicing certificate
  • Must be a practicing advocate in criminal litigation and/or civil litigation with relevant experience of not less than (3) years
Preferred Experience and Skills
  • Must have experience conducting all aspects of a criminal and or civil trial and experience with regulatory/administrative law and proceedings
  • Must have experience working with law enforcement including police and various public and regulatory officials
  • Knowledge of the criminal and civil rules and procedures as well as regulatory and administrative proceedings
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong advocacy and negotiation skills
  • Decision making and problem solving skills
  • Strong task management, planning and organizational skills

1. Associate Project Director - Aphia Plus 

(Kakamega)

Purpose of the positions:

To provide the technical advice and direction needed by the Technical Specialists III (Social Determinants for successful rollout of APHIAplus social determinant within the districts in partnership with PATH, JHPIEGO, EGPAF, Government of Kenya (GoK) and target communities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support Project Director in the following:-

  • to provide technical and operational leadership and direction to the the Technical Specialists
  • ensure quality, focus implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Social Determinants of Health interventions
  • to monitor and manage performance
  • oversee the development and implementation of Social Determinant for Health annual work-plans
2. Support the Technical Specialists in the following:-
  • to ensure that the Social Determinant for Health component is implemented in compliance with WV, GoK, and other acceptable standards and norms
  • to develop and rollout of needed programming and monitoring tools, methodological approaches, technical assistance, training / capacity building, DME support and accompanying business processes
  • to facilitate the integration of Social Determinant for Health result areas with result area 3 interventions for synergy and sustainable impact
3. Ensure adherence to the USAID regulations

4. Strengthen networking with relevant GoK to ensure their participation in building revenant structures for
sustainability

5. Oversee the development of the program’s interventions and synergies with other related programs;

6. Compile and submit timely relevant reports required by PATH and WVK

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A Masters degree in a relevant field from a recognized University
  • A minimum of 5 years experience designing, planning, implementing, supervising and reporting on integrated social livelihood and development projects
  • Demonstrated practical command for implementing Social Development
  • Must be results oriented leader with performance based management knowledge who can manage and satisfy multiple and at times conflicting organizational, donor and other stakeholder demands
  • Have solid public relations skills and be a strong team player
2. Project Officer – Accountability, Monitoring & Evaluation

(Baringo, Kakuma & Taita Taveta)

Purpose of the positions:

To provide leadership in the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of the food programme and ensure that accountability mechanisms are established to allow World Vision remain accountable to the beneficiaries it
serves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the food programme from design phase specifically in identifying key indicators, defining the M&E plan and other documentation needs.
  • Work with the Commodity Officer to coordinate & document learnings
  • Develop realistic M&E plans as well as log frames
  • Develop and adopt an effective data collection plan
  • Monitor and review data from M&E reports
  • Ensure data collection teams are fully trained and receive field practice
  • Ensure systematic archiving of all presentations and materials prepared during the project cycle
  • Coordinate with external stakeholders i.e. academia, NGOs, Government, Private Sector and WFP to advance the learning goals of the project
  • Define and establish linkages between the M&E system for the food programme & the Humanitarian accountability requirements
  • Define and implement a safe, efficient and effective system for receiving and processing of feedback, ensuring a two-way communication between communities, beneficiaries & World Vision
  • Prepare periodic reports and also highlight type(s) and number of community complaints / feedback by project sites.
  • Work closely with the Food Aid Manager, Accountability Design Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and Commodity Officer to develop a Humanitarian Accountability Framework for the food programme
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • A degree related to the science and practice of community development, program design, statistics and evaluation
  • 3 years experience in M&E positions including participatory research and impact measurement
  • Experience in working on donor funded programs and managing projects
  • Proven technical ability around M&E (i.e. experience in managing data entry and conducting data analysis and interpretation)
  • Experience with SPSS or Epi Info and other related statistical software packages
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance systems, and continuous improvement, with particular emphasis on integration of accountability measures into all aspects of the project cycle
  • Empirical knowledge of humanitarian codes, principles and practice
  • Good team player, self starter, has ability to work under minimum supervision and maintain good relationships

Job Description

Earlier this year, we opened our first maternity hospital just off Thika Road on the Eastern Bypass before Ruiru. 

In the coming months, Jacaranda will expand substantially, adding new facilities and services as well as refining our current systems.

To achieve these goals, we will need support in a range of areas. We seek candidates for Project Associate roles across several departments:
  1. Growth and expansion: researching new locations for Jacaranda’s growth, searching for suitable properties, negotiating with landlords and property managers, and overseeing elements of construction / other setup
  2. Sales and marketing: testing new sales strategies, developing new marketing materials, etc.
  3. Service offerings and clinical operations: researching the demand for new services, benchmarking against other providers, collecting information about how we can refine our operations, etc.
We are open to candidates with a range of different experiences and qualifications. 

Key skills required include:
  1. Project management: able to develop the key objectives to be achieved in a project, and assign realistic timelines to these steps
  2. External communications: able to represent Jacaranda to external audiences (e.g., property managers, government stakeholders, community leaders) and convey our objectives and needs effectively
  3. Data gathering: able to compile key information from other health facilities, clients, and other sources and summarize for Jacaranda management
Successful candidates will need to have multiple skill sets and wear many hats.

This position will be a consultancy or short term contract, with the possibility of converting to longer-term employment.

Position: Process Developer / Process Associate for Order to Cash
 
Shift Timings: 8AM-5PM

Main Purpose of the Position

The Order To Cash (OTC) work stream

Key Outputs & Tasks
  • Pro-actively supporting the process of allocating customer receipts to correct customer accounts on a daily basis
  • Monitor returned payments on a daily basis by correctively investigating and posting to a customer account
  • Identifying non-customer related receipts, pro-actively investigating and posting to correct G/L accounts
  • Process incoming cheques onto SAP and bank with house bank
  • Monitoring Accounts Receivable clearing accounts on a daily basis
  • Matching of debits and credits on Accounts Receivable clearing accounts
  • Preparing month end reconciliation's and other reports
  • Supporting other OTC areas where necessary and appropriate
  • Continuously look for process improvement to drive customer satisfaction and raise service efficiency
  • Improve own Key Performance Iindicators and clearing of all unidentified receipts as per Service Level Agreement
  • Liaise with third party document printer where specific documents must be extracted from daily mailing process
  • Check audit documentation supplied by third party document handler is correct

Educational Experience

  • Adaptable to learn new processes, concepts, and skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the relevant SAP transactions. 
  • Strong Outlook and Excel knowledge. 
  • Understands and uses PC based applications, databases, intranet and internet required for role.
  • Uses PC IT tools to solve problems/tasks effectively.
Beneficial Work Experience
  • Written and spoken ability to communicate in English
  • Previous accounting experience/studies in particular AR
  • Must be a good team player
  • Responsibility and accuracy in the completion of received tasks
  • Ability to solve urgent matters and work under pressure
  • Flexibility, especially in the period of month/quarter/year-end closing
  • Reliable, proactive approach to entrusted tasks (thinking outside the box is a plus)
