Senior Humanitarian Advisor Africa – Cash and Markets
Based: Nairobi or any other African Country where CA is present
Salary: Band C
Contract Type: National, Open ended

This is an exciting opportunity to support Christian Aid’s humanitarian work in Africa, especially cash based responses to emergency response.
This may include the development of guidelines and training materials, giving trainings and mentoring staff and supporting the relevant ACT Alliance Community of Practice.
He or she will also provide surge capacity for emergency response in the Africa.
You will have excellent working knowledge of cash and market based emergency programming and how to integrate this into Humanitarian work.
You will have a Degree level or equivalent in relevant discipline, good knowledge of emergency relief, rehabilitation and development issues including capacity building tools and techniques, understanding of participatory vulnerability and capacity assessments and understanding of the partnership approach to emergency work and experience of working with local partners.
You will require current and valid permission to work in the relevant country.
