Tenders Officer

Reporting to the Marketing Director, the successful candidate will be expected to perform the following functions:

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

Shall include but not limited to:

  • Receive Invitations to Tender and document to submit competitive bidders in conformance with specifications and fixed deadlines.
  • Facilitate Tender meetings and/or site visits as required for pre-qualification, pre-tender, or post-tender clarifications including participating in tender openings.
  • Liaison with Technical Evaluation Committee.
  • Keep close contact with procurement officers.
  • Monitor the Tender status.
  • Review Tender Documents to ensure compliance with terms and conditions, and delivery requirements of products and services.
  • Review of Evaluation reports.
  • Ensure company understand and comply with Instructions to Tenderer terms & conditions.
  • Maintain Tender records.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Pharmacy or Procurement & Supply Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in similar work with specific knowledge of Tender processes and be an active member in a commercial professional organization.
  • Computer skills: Vender research using online search, Email, Work, Excel.
  • MS Office proficiency.

  • Demonstrate ability to provide guidance on contractual, legal and financial issues related to Tenders / Contracts process and documentation.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, persuasive ability.
  • Ability to effectively organize documents and archive records
  • Enthusiastic, committed & proactive.

  • Strong attention to detail.

ACF is looking for a consultant willing to travel to Mogadishu (or who is already there) for the external evaluation of the ACF’s Emergency Nutrition, Health and WASH interventions for conflict and drought -affected populations in Mogadishu, Somalia.

We intend for the evaluation to start by the 5th November and it will consist of approximately 25 days’ work finishing before the end of December. A detailed work plan will be negotiated with the selected consultant.

All reasonable expenses will be covered and accommodation and travel will be provided by ACF for the duration of the stay in country.

Introduction

Transparency International – Kenya (TI-Kenya) is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to promote a transparent and corruption free Kenya and good governance and social justice initiatives.

TI-Kenya is part of the Transparency International global movement that is a non-partisan coalition of individuals with a shared vision of a corruption free world. It is an autonomous Chapter in the Transparency International movement, with which we share knowledge and exchange ideas for the greater good of Kenya and the world at large.

Transparency International Kenya is dedicated to gender equality and ensuring equitable and sustainable human development. As well, the value of democratic principles and basic human rights demand gender equality and advocate for equal representation and participation of both genders.

Anticipated Outputs and Deliverables
TI-Kenya is seeking the services of an individual to review the Food Assistance Integrity Study report of approximately sixty (60) pages

Specific tasks:
  • Ascertain that the report adheres to TI-Kenya’s editorial standards.
  • Ensure logical arrangement, readability, clarity of expression, logical and internal consistency of the report’s contents.
  • Ensure that phraseologies and terminologies are correct and that the style is appropriate to the target readership.
  • Polish and improve on language use where necessary.
  • Check the accuracy of facts, figures, references, statistics, quotations and citations, and ensure that the appropriate copyright rules have been observed.
Expected qualifications:
  • University degree, postgraduate degree in development studies is an added advantage.
  • Experience in reviewing humanitarian aid publications.
  • Fluency in written English.
Timelines and Fees
The task should be completed within five working days (from March 1st to March 5th 2012) upon contractual commitment.
An expression of interest accompanied by a CV, three references, two excerpts of previous works-not exceeding two pages and proposed fees should be forwarded to the undersigned by Friday 10 February 2012 COB. The contract fees will be paid in full 30 days after submission of the reviewed report.
Complaints Process
This call for Expression of Interest does not constitute a solicitation and TI-Kenya reserves the right to change or cancel the requirement at any time during the EOI process. TI-Kenya also reserves the right to require compliance with additional conditions as and when issuing the final solicitation documents.
Submitting a reply to a call for EOI does not automatically guarantee receipt of the solicitation documents when issued.
Invitations to bid or requests for proposals will be issued in accordance with TI-Kenya rules and procedures.
Any grievances and or complaints arising from the evaluation process and final tender award can be addressed, in writing, to the Executive Director and the TI-Kenya Tender Complaints Committee.

The Ministry of Finance invites sealed tenders from eligible candidates for the provision of consultancy services for End to End Encryption and security of payment files from IFMIS servers to T24 servers at CBK

A complete tender document may be obtained upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Kshs. 2,000.00 in cash or bankers cheque payable to Financial Secretary, Ministry of Finance at cash office on Ground Floor Treasury Building, Harambee Avenue.

Smart Card Payment Solution
The Higher Education Loans Board is a state corporation whose mandate is to source for funds and provide loans, scholarships and bursaries to Kenyans studying in recognized institutions of higher learning.

HELB has received proposals from several Banks, who have developed Smart Card payment systems in the previous past. HELB therefore wishes to explore the smart card payment solution for the disbursement of student
loans, bursaries and scholarships to universities.
HELB therefore invites interested Banks to submit their Expression of Interest for the provision of the Smart Card Payment Solution.
Interested Banks will be evaluated on their ability to demonstrate the following:
  • The smart card should have at least three accounts (wallets) with restricted Point of Sale terminal usage,
  • Automated loading of cash into the students smart cards,
  • Ability to interface with the HELB systems,
  • Card may be used by the universities as student identity card,
  • Passwords enforced for each payment made from the card,
  • Administration of the smart cards and the POS systems,
  • Customized online and electronic management reports (detailed and summary) on all smart card operations, by card, university, POS outlet etc.
